Business Development & LinkedIn Coach & Consultant for Attorneys & Law Firms | Former Law Partner | Teaching You How to Gain Visibility on LinkedIn | TM/© Nerd | Human Design Reader | Bestselling Author

Ready to hear a cool story? At 10:45 PM on Saturday night, I finished the book They Ask, You Answer by Marcus Sheridan. In short, the book is about creating content - videos, articles, blog posts, social media posts, etc. - that educate consumers and transparently answer all of their questions about your product or service. This in turn builds trust, drives traffic to your website, and establishes your business as the go-to source in the industry. In the back of the book I learned there is an annual event for businesses implementing the They Ask, You Answer concept in Hartford, Connecticut - 25 minutes from my house. But this book was written in 2019, was it still happening in Hartford? Curious, I searched for the event and learned that it starts today - October 14 - in Hartford, Connecticut. But I couldn't register for the event online any longer. So, at 10:50 PM on Saturday, I sent a message to the events team and to the author to see if I could get in. By 8:00 AM on Sunday, they registered me. I'll be there today. Please let me know if you're also attending so we can meet up. I'm excited to learn more about applying this method to my business and to my law firm clients. I was inspired to read this book because this has essentially been my philosophy on LinkedIn since 2020 - share valuable information openly and consistently. Rather than giving away secrets, this strategy generates business by building trust and establishing your expertise. It feels like I was meant to attend this event. When have you felt that way about something in your life? Do you apply the They Ask, You Answer concept in your business? #businessdevelopment #legalmarketing #theyaskyouanswer

I help construction and B2B software companies solve marketing and sales challenges.

I traveled 23 hours and arrived today at 1:30am just to come to IMPACT Live. Eventhough I attended the same conference about 6 months ago in Chicago, I already learned so much, had so many new ideas, met so many smart people, and reconnected with so many of my peers, fellow coaches and the amazing Imapct team that it already was worth the trip. Too tired now to share some takeaways- but stay tuned for more to come in the next days!

Fostering Growth by Asking the Right Question | CEO Coach | 5x Inc. 5000 Honoree | Lancaster Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year | Vistage Chair

In 2012, my company was in flames. We were hemorrhaging $3 million, and I was watching my dream turn to ash. But from those ashes, an unexpected phoenix would rise. This is a story of rebirth, resilience, and the power of unwavering commitment. Our lifeline came in an unlikely form: Marcus Sheridan's "They Ask, You Answer" (#TAYA) approach. At first, it seemed too simple. How could answering customer questions resurrect a dying business? We started small. One blog post at a time. One honest answer at a time. Progress was slow. Some days, it felt like we were still sifting through the ashes. But we kept at it, making #TAYA a part of our daily routine: 1️⃣ We talked about it in every meeting. 2️⃣ We trained our entire company on it. 3️⃣ We built it into our company culture. Months turned into years. Slowly but surely, new life began to emerge: ➡️ Our website traffic grew ➡️ Leads started pouring in ➡️ Sales picked up steam By 2022, the turnaround was clear. Applied Educational Systems had risen from near-bankruptcy to achieve Inc 5000 status five years running We've scaled beyond my initial hopes. And me? I've successfully exited the company, watching it continue to grow and evolve. This phoenix didn't rise overnight. It took over a decade of unwavering commitment. 10+ years of: ✅ Persistent daily effort ✅ Weathering ups and downs ✅ Trusting the process The results speak for themselves. But remember, there's no shortcut to rebirth. It's about rising each day, dusting off the ashes, and building anew. To my fellow CEOs and business owners in Central PA: If you're feeling the heat of failure, don't give up. The right principles, applied consistently over time, can breathe new life into even the most challenging situations. Want to learn more about our decade-long journey from the ashes? Let's grab coffee. Your own path to renewal might be just beginning. #SmallBusiness #BusinessGrowth #CentralPA #CEOlife #Resilience A heartfelt thank you to those who helped fan the flames of our rebirth: Marcus Sheridan, for creating the #TAYA framework that reignited our passion Chris Marr, for his invaluable insights and world-class coaching The incredible team at IMPACT, whose teaching kept the fire burning My Vistage Worldwide, Inc. group CEO peers, for their unwavering support and shared wisdom Your guidance, encouragement, and shared experiences gave me hope. This journey wasn't just about business transformation—it was about personal growth and the power of community. To my #Vistage peers: Your support during the darkest times and celebrations during our recovery made all the difference.
