October has been one big #PartyToThePolls at Impactual LLC! I'm SO proud of what our team has accomplished while supporting the Civic Responsibility Project's #PurpleTour this year. Seeing super young, diverse crowds of 1,000+ people march to the polls with Yung Gravy, Kerry Washington, Lil Jon, Quavo, Bill Nye -- and then stand in line for 2-3 hours to vote!! -- has been truly incredible. 🎉 🗳 ✔ 💃 And yes, we *have* stayed and partied alongside all the voters in line until the last person casts their ballot, serving up treats from Pizza to the Polls -- so we do know the conversion rates of party goers to voters is hiiiiigh! This week, Pizza to the Polls Polls, along with their partner Slice, rang the Nasdaq Closing Bell, and Alexandra Jensen Steele and I got to represent Tinsel Experiential Design as their guests. Pizza to the Polls is on a mission to deliver free food to those participating in civic life—whether easing the wait in long voting lines or supporting nonpartisan events focused on voter education and turnout. Their motto? "Keeping democracy delicious, one slice at a time." At Tinsel, we’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Pizza to the Polls. Back in 2020, we strategized and executed their inaugural food truck program with Impactual LLC, providing pizza to voters waiting in long lines. Through an on-demand format and a partnership with Uber Eats, we activated in 29 cities with 289 trucks over a 9-day period during the height of the pandemic, distributing over 1 million snacks across the country. Since then, we’ve continued to support Pizza to the Polls with further initiatives that keep voters engaged and energized at the polls. Ringing the Nasdaq Closing Bell was a proud moment for Pizza to the Polls. The recognition serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of civic engagement. The ceremony was streamed live from the heart of Times Square and broadcast to a global audience, showcasing the incredible work we’re doing together. A big thank you to the Pizza to the Polls team for inviting us to be a part of their special moment! 

Thank you to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for awarding us the "Best Civic Engagement Program" in corporate America. I'm incredibly proud to lead this work on behalf of Microsoft's Democracy Forward program. It's the best job anyone could ask for, and it's awesome to have our work recognized. Getting to work with Microsoft's employees and consumers on civic engagement is an honor that I will never take for granted. Thanks to Brad Smith, Teresa Hutson, Fred Humphries, and Ginny Badanes for being such steadfast champions of this work internally. Tuesday was an amazing National Voter Registration Day at Microsoft! Between our numerous customer facing activations - from the Windows Lock Screen to Xbox to the Times Square Cube - and our employee promotions like our Civics Fair in Redmond, we registered tons of people to vote and let the world know how seriously we take civic engagement and defending democracy. Thanks to Skylar Coleman and Democracy Forward, Lindsay Baringer and Impactual LLC, Alex Saxerud and our Civic Engagement Vokunteer Team, Kaity Butcher, Patrick Kretzler, and Aleksey Fedorov and the Brand Marketing Team for helping us put on such an amazing and impactful day. And a special thank you to King County Elections and Naheed Gina Aaftaab, Ph.D. for joining the fun on campus and helping us register voters!!
