Everyone loves candles. They make great gifts and stocking-stuffers. Choosing tins instead of glass has many benefits. Tins weigh less and would not fracture. This means less external packaging. When you recycle a glass candle, the wax needs to be melted or frozen and wiped or chipped out of the glass. Not all glass can be recycled. Most candles are made of heat-resistant glass, and many recycling centers do not accept it. A tin can be recycled without melting the wax or even removal of the wick! Just toss it in the neighborhood curbside recycling. Wax, wick, label and decoration will melt off in the recycling process.
