🌾 Wild Rice Processing at IHB 🌾 At Indian Health Board, we recognize the importance of cultural traditions in promoting health and wellness within our community. Today, we gathered to to process wild rice our staff harvested from Leech Lake, to share this practice and connect with community. We are grateful to those who came to help and learn. It was a beautiful day, starting with the opening words and song, being visited shortly afterward by an eagle and sharing bannock and soup together for lunch. From parching to jigging to winnowing, each step in the process is done with care and respect. We are proud to continue this tradition and to share these moments with the community. #WildRiceProcessing #CulturalWellness #IHB
