About us
The Indiana Conservative Alliance for Energy is an organization founded by conservatives who believe in a genuine “all of the above” approach to Indiana’s energy policy – an approach that values the energy that built our great state and transitions to the clean, renewable and efficient energy that’s powering our future. Moving Indiana toward an all of the above energy policy will create jobs, expand our economy, make our communities more secure through energy independence, improve public health, and leave behind a powerful legacy for future generations of Hoosiers. We encourage you to stay involved through our website and social media channels. We believe that a diverse and increasingly renewable energy portfolio is the key to lower electricity rates and a more reliable system. We believe in leveling the playing field so that emerging energy technologies can access markets. We believe that as technologies change, Indiana must embrace its emerging clean energy economy; by doing so, the Hoosier state will remain competitive and secure further job creation and investment for years to come.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has unveiled its proposed National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors (NIETCs) for the first time in over a decade. NIETCs are critical to unlocking faster permitting and increased transmission development to meet rising power demand. Without appropriate transmission infrastructure in place, electricity rates will continue to rise for Americans and lead to more frequent power outages. ICAE continues working to better ensure the protection of Hoosier energy rights by encouraging the development of a modernized electric power grid, streamlined planning process, and regulatory framework that can unlock the full force of consumer-driven free markets over heavy-handed government mandates. Read ICAE's public comment to DOE in support of the proposed NIETCs. #FERC #GridResilience #HoosierEnergyRights

At the end of 2023, business investment in Indiana for solar/wind/battery storage projects accounted for $9 billion and nearly $27 million paid in local & state taxes. Today's announcement that Google is expanding its Midwest presence via a new $2 billion data center in Ft. Wayne - which will bring more clean energy to the local grid by supporting its operations - further drives the message home that renewable energy continues to attract new business and fuel major economic investment in the Hoosier State.
Today, Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg broke ground on a new $2B Google data center in Fort Wayne that will create 200 new jobs and power next gen artificial intelligence. This is the third major data center planned for Indiana this year, totaling $13.8B in committed capital investment and at least 1,300 new Hoosier jobs statewide! Read More: https://lnkd.in/g7WHB8SE
