About us
The Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) is a statewide organization that strives to improve the viability of Indiana soybean farmers and industry partners. ISA represents more than 20,000 soybean farmers in Indiana through two primary roles; the state soybean checkoff and legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts: Through the soybean checkoff, ISA funds market development, economic and environmental on-farm programs, consumer outreach, new soybean uses and value creation projects. ISA membership and Policy Committee manages membership and advocacy efforts that support Indiana soybean grower interests in local areas, Indianapolis and Washington, D.C. No soybean checkoff funds can be used to fund the membership and policy area efforts.

Our very own Kate Mattingly participated in the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) Intern Retreat this week. Read about her experiences and what she has to say about the individuals who share their time with young professionals. 👏
This week I had the pleasure representing Indiana Soybean Alliance at the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) Intern Retreat. As young professionals we appreciate the individuals that take time out of their schedule to show us how to grow and learn. We learned more about how US Soybeans are exported and toured ADM, Bayer, and a Lock and Dam. In agriculture, it takes a lot of components to export our grains. A special thanks to Paul Burke to making our experience great and showing us around St. Louis!

On this edition of the Hoosier Ag This Week Podcast: Eric Pfeiffer has several reports from Washington, D.C. as he joined members of the Indiana Corn Growers Association and the Indiana Soybean Alliance Membership & Policy Committee on their quest to push lawmakers to pass the Farm Bill this year. You'll hear about the latest study that show that Indiana's agbioscience sector contributes nearly $70 billion to the state's economy. Mitch Frazier with AgriNovus Indiana talks about the study and how he sees an additional $8 billion in growth for agbiosciences in Indiana by 2030. Brian Basting with Advance Trading, Inc. will review Friday’s grain markets. Also, Chief Meteorologist Ryan Martin has a look at your Indiana Farm Forecast. Plus, with the Indiana State Fair kicking off in less than two weeks, C.J. Miller chats with Gary Emsweller, Superintendent of the Pioneer Village at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, as he shares what’s new—and how their volunteers will make you feel like you’ve just stepped out of a time machine into the early 1900’s!
