We never miss an opportunity to hang with our Mutz Philanthropic Leadership Institute alumni. And we are in complete awe after previewing the Indy 500 museum renovation! It will be a massive attraction to our city and promises to be unveiled at next year’s race day!
Had an incredible time catching up with some of Indiana's top philanthropists during a recent visit. From a sneak preview of the Indy 500 Museum renovations to reconnecting with former colleagues and dear friends engaged in impactful work across the state, my soul was refilled. Thank you Claudia Cummings, Lissa Silotto, Corri Rusk, Abigail L. Coleman, MPA, Emerald Blankenship, MBA, CFRE, Anita Samuel, Bridget Sutton for making time for me!

I was truly honored to have had a chance to lift up the work we are doing both at Detroit Future City and here in Detroit. Last week I was joined by two incredibly passionate and intelligent colleagues in community, Andre Ebron, MSOL, CDE and Heidi M.R. Reijm, Ph.D., at the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA) Conference to introduce how our local ecosystem is using qualitative and quantitative data for philanthropic success by centering community voice and economic equity to advance local initiatives. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with the Indiana philanthropic community! Thankful for IPA to have had us!

On an early flight out of Kansas this morning after an incredible two days of networking and learning in Wichita at the 2024 Annual Conference for Growing Community Foundations. Maddison Miller and I led four abbreviated and content-packed sessions of Indiana Philanthropy Alliance’s “Community Foundation Bootcamp” yesterday. It was rewarding to share our knowledge and experiences with community foundation leaders from across the US. We are already making notes and plans for the 2025 conference!
