Our mission is guided by the vision of fostering a rehabilitative culture that values family reunification and the empowerment of individuals, particularly women, to forge meaningful and fulfilling lives. 💪🏻At IRC, we stand by the conviction that everyone is entitled to a second chance and the resources necessary to rebuild their lives. • America….I urge everyone to be mindful..this is what the voters voted for!!! The tidesof democracy has been swept from our shores….Let us all hope the tide will soon reverse course and restore the confidence in our country and our leaders!! The resilience of this nation has been tested throughout history and it has always stood strong! The history of this country is a reminder of the strength that the people of this country have shown has always been the foundation for our democracy. This strength is now being tested in ways that have never before been tested and challenged by the very people that America voted for and this will be the most challenging test in the history of our country’ While the slogan #MAGA has become a battle cry that has been used to create a division between our country…These words “Make America Great Again” have never been more relevant than in this time In history! Take a moment to reflect on these words and ask yourself why they matter only to those who are committed to the destruction of our democracy???? It’s Time to #ReThinkPatrotism

In the tapestry of our nation, every thread matters – red, blue, and every shade between. Our strength lies not in uniformity but in the vibrant diversity of our ideas and experiences. 𝐀𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫: 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒖𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑨𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆. Our greatest victories have always come when we 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, hope over fear, and the courage to listen over the comfort of our echo chambers. Today, we stand at a crossroads of history – 𝓵𝓮𝓽 𝓾𝓼 𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓼𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓹𝓪𝓽𝓱 𝓽𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓼 𝓾𝓼 𝓯𝓸𝓻𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓭, 𝓽𝓸𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻. 🗳️ Voting is your voice--make it count!

As we continue to shine a light on the urgent need for probation reform, Yovng Chimi sat down with us firsthand to share his gripping story, which underscores the critical work we’re doing to transform the probation system. Yovngchimi’s journey through the probation system is a stark reminder of its flaws: • He spent three years on probation for a marijuana offense, facing a system that seemed designed to trap rather than rehabilitate. • Instead of getting meaningful support, he found himself accumulating violations due to lack of proper resources. • His career as a musician took a severe hit when attending an award show led to increased restrictions, including an ankle monitor that made him feel like he was “in prison.” • A strict 6 PM curfew further crippled his ability to pursue his music career and maintain a normal life. • Realizing his restrictions was the reality that, at any moment, he might have had to choose between risking a violation or seeking emergency medical care for his child. Yovngchimi’s story is not unique. It represents countless individuals caught in a probation system that often hinders rather than helps. His testimony reinforces our mission to create meaningful change, ensuring that probation is a pathway to stability and success, not a revolving door back into the justice system. We are deeply grateful to Yovngchimi for sharing his experiences. His story fuels our determination to push for reforms that will make a real difference in people’s lives. We are looking forward to working together to transform probation! #ProbationReform #PuertoRico #ReformAlliance 🇵🇷

Indiana ReEntry Corp A Next-Generation Approach to ReThinking and ReInventing ReEntry The Indiana ReEntry Corp (IRC) has emerged as a trailblazer in addressing one of society’s most pressing challenges: the successful reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals into communities. Under the banner of its mission to "ReThink-ReINVENT-ReEntry," IRC is setting a new standard for reentry programs by leveraging innovative strategies, technology, and partnerships. This next-generation approach goes far beyond traditional reentry models, which have often been mired in punitive frameworks and profit-driven motives, such as the private prison industry’s exploitation of prison labor. Instead, IRC is focusing on a holistic, compassionate, and sustainable model designed to empower individuals, break the cycle of recidivism, and ultimately transform society's perception and handling of reentry. ReThinking ReEntry: Shifting the Paradigm ReINVENTING ReEntry: Harnessing Innovation and Technology Faith-Based and Community Partnerships: A Holistic Support System Reinventing Workforce Strategies: From Labor to Career Paths Breaking the Cycle: Reducing Recidivism through Empowerment A New Vision for ReEntry The Indiana ReEntry Corp’s mission to “ReThink-ReINVENT-ReEntry” represents a bold, forward-thinking approach to one of society’s most significant challenges. By integrating faith-based partnerships, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and creating innovative workforce strategies, IRC is setting a new standard for reentry programs that prioritize human dignity, compassion, and long-term success. This next-generation approach not only benefits individuals reentering society but also contributes to stronger, more resilient communities by reducing recidivism and fostering economic empowerment. IRC’s model demonstrates that when we invest in people, treat them with respect, and provide them with the tools they need to succeed, we create a society where everyone—regardless of their past—has the opportunity to thrive.

Hundreds of New Yorkers gathered in Downtown Brooklyn yesterday at the NeighborhoodStat Community Policy Breakfast, where city agencies, community-based organizations, and residents across 30 New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) sites made their voices heard. The morning included a vibrant discussion, moderated by our Director of Government Relations Hailey Nolasco, MPA, between Council Member Chris Banks, New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) resident voice Terry Heard , former NYCHA property manager John Phillips, and Office of Neighborhood Safety Youth Leadership Council representative Jamiyah Meadow Williams. Collaborative efforts like this ensure that decision-makers remain aware of resource gaps, crime rates, and quality-of-life conditions and work toward actionable solutions to drive positive change. Part of the collaboration between the Office of the Mayor of New York City's Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety and our communities, these spaces are key to creating safer neighborhoods for all.
