Moving from aluminum glazing to architectural glulam, or glued laminated timber, was a pivotal step, providing improved waterproofing and reducing warping. Yet, this phase still demanded extensive customization and relied on non-solar-specific components. The evolution continued as we adapted the initial wire trough concept into Infinity Rack’s efficient slide-in wire trough design. Our structural SunBeams, along with top caps and wire troughs, echo elements of previous wood framing systems while integrating modern durability and solar-focused functionality. This adaptation marked a crucial step towards the durable and versatile Infinity Rack solutions available today. 🌞 The Evolution of Our Concept🌞 For the past 15 years, our inventor has been driven by a vision: to create functional spaces powered by solar modules. Between 2008 and 2009, he worked closely with his father, building lean-tos and sheds that supported solar modules and housed batteries and equipment at their jointly established company. Their initial concept? A structure that could be prefabricated, transported on a flatbed truck, and seamlessly installed at customers’ homes. While that exact idea never made it to market, they completed many custom on-site projects that embodied the essence of their vision.
