Olympians must be able to set themselves up for success by benchmarking their results against the competition. As shown this week by the USA Men’s Gymnastics team, benchmarks allow athletes and teams to set goals and make adjustments necessary to improve. The team utilized Stephen Nedoroscik’s wild card talent on the pommel horse routine to bring home the team’s first medal since 2008. Team USA used benchmarking to add value to each individual team member’s specialty to secure the win. In what ways do you use benchmarks to set goals? While we definitely prefer to have the whole team in person for our quarterly review sessions, our Q2 wrap up was still impactful despite three key team members, Trey Heatly, Matt Brewer and Chris Martin, joining us from the big screen. The halfway mark of the year is always a good time to reflect on what is effective and what needs to be adjusted in order to hit our #strategic objectives. The team is feeling aligned around our goals and ready to execute our plan for the second half of the year!
