This month, #TeamIllinois visited Japan with Innovate Illinois Chair Gov JB Pritzker on a trade mission to show how Illinois is leading innovation across key industries. #BeInIllinois #BeyondBoundaries
#TeamIllinois made a lasting impact in Japan: strengthening relationships, sharing best practices with industry counterparts, and fostering new opportunities for economic growth. 🎌 Some highlights from the productive week include: The group connected with hundreds of Japanese leaders from a wide range of organizations. From #manufacturing to #lifesciences, from start-ups to global giants, and from companies with a significant Illinois presence to new prospects, #TeamIllinois made the case for why global companies should invest or expand in Illinois. The team also participated in roundtables with Japanese industry experts — one centered on #quantum and the other on #cleanenergy and #cleantech — to create opportunities for future collaboration. In addition to the business meetings, presentations, and roundtables, the group explored some of Tokyo's vibrant sites and sounds. A huge thank you to all of the delegates, to our partners in the Governor's Office and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and to sponsors including ComEd, Marsh, Barnes & Thornburg LLP, United Airlines, Illinois Manufacturers' Association, and JLL who helped make this trade mission possible. We greatly appreciate the warm hospitality in Japan and this unique opportunity to showcase why companies should #BeinIllinois.
