DYK National Children's Health Month is celebrated each October in an effort to recognize the importance of a healthy environment for children's lifelong health. Children need safe, stable environments to thrive. Creating spaces that offer protection from threats as well as opportunities to learn and grow is crucial to improving children's health outcomes. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) raises awareness about children's health and provides resources to help protect children. Transform the way your team approaches care coordination with the FOCUS Certificate Program — a 12-month intensive training and coaching experience targeted to increase, improve, and enhance your team's skills. This program empowers agency teams in child-serving systems and behavioral health organizations seeking evidence-informed practice that revolutionizes traditional case management practices. Last month, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an informational bulletin on the timing and expectations for states to achieve compliance with all federal #Medicaid and #CHIP renewal requirements. States are required to complete a compliance assessment, demonstrate compliance with federal Medicaid and CHIP renewal requirements, and submit a plan outlining steps and milestones for addressing areas of non-compliance. Accompanying the bulletin, CMS released a compliance template and a slide deck.
