InSoFast's continuous insulating panel is designed for use in commercial or residential surface applications. The product is a high pressure steam fused polystyrene panel with a high density co-polymer embedded stud for cladding attachment. The dimensionally stable of the 2’ X 4’ panel with interlocks on all four sides.
InSoFast continuous insulation, furring/studs/strapping, dual rainscreen control surfaces, in one easy to install panel. Ideal for use under most cladding systems such as stucco, cultured stone, fiber cement, and other siding materials.
• Strong internal studs attached directly to the buildings structure
• The interlocking insulated membrane is not subjected to rot or decay
• Thermally isolated cladding attachment tested to ASTM E-330 wind loads
• NFPA 285 Fire rated assemblies
• Provides, nailing attachment studs 16” oc and a thermal barrier in one installation

Here's an interesting little challenge that came up in my basement renovation. Two of the windows had only a little framing in the space above. There was a bit of felt paper hanging down from the top but no other drainage plane. You can see the back of the brick veneer below it. That brick veneer is resting on a piece of angle iron. When we removed the framing to install new windows, it showed no evidence of moisture problems. But there also was no insulation in the previous incarnation of that space. We're now putting InSoFast, LLC insulation panels across that opening on the interior side, though, so it will stay colder in winter. I've already detailed one of the three places like this (two windows and the door) and will have a full video out showing what we did. Here's a little update on our basement remodel. Most of the framing for phase 1 of the project is done. We're still trying to figure out how best to support the dropped beams (double LVLs) where they hit the exterior concrete block wall. As soon as that's done and the window openings are prepared, I can start installing the InSoFast, LLC panels on the walls and floor. Also, we made big progress on installing the Zehnder America energy (enthalpy) recovery ventilator last weekend.
