McGlinchey was pleased to partner with InsurTech ATX to host our inaugural Insurance Symposium in Austin, Texas on April 16th! The half-day event included a fireside chat with industry members and regulators (including Jim Donelon, Former Commissioner of Insurance for Louisiana) moderated by partner Lauren Ybarra. During the session, they discussed how each of their respective organizations is navigating industry changes and what they see for the future of insurance regulation and compliance. The panel was followed by rotational workshops covering topics such as insurance agencies and MGAs, what a captive is and how it is created, and insurance products for cannabis-related businesses. We wrapped up the day with a networking happy hour for participants.
