October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Let’s use this month to sharpen our skills and stay ahead of the curve! As technology evolves, we all play a vital role in protecting ourselves and the digital world from cyber threats. We asked Integral’s Senior Security Director and FSO, Paul Perdue to share his Top 5 tips to stay secure: 1. Use strong passwords, protect them and change them often. 2. Enable two-factor authentication whenever possible. 3. Avoid suspicious emails and never click links in emails from people you don’t know. 4. Keep your operating systems and software up-to-date to ensure you have the latest security patches on all of your devices. 5. Be careful on social media – don’t disclose personal information, make your profiles private, and don’t accept requests from people you don’t know. From phishing attacks to ransomware, the threat is real! Being proactive with cybersecurity practices and processes allow us all to take advantage of the benefits of technology without increasing the risk of attack. As we wrap up our Heroes on Display campaign, we’d like to take a moment to highlight the meaningful impact both Special Operations Warrior Foundation and Tunnel to Towers have on real families. SPC Matthew Willie (AKA Gator) passed away after dealing with medical complications that arose after his time in service related to traumatic brain injury sustained while on active duty. Special Operations Warrior Foundation provided financial and emotional support to his family while they dealt with their incredible loss. Integral’s CGO, Amanda J. Windle, has fond memories of Matthew playing rugby with her son on a team coached by her husband and remains close with his family. We are proud to support the foundation that stood by them in their time of need. Fire Captain Michael Malinowski Sr. tragically lost his life to a job-related medical emergency. On the anniversary of his passing, Tunnel to Towers Foundation ensured his family could stay in the home they loved by paying off the mortgage, providing them with lasting security. Michael was a beloved family member of Integral’s HR Business Partner, Maureen Aglidian and we are deeply thankful for the support they received.
