Use Case: Early Detection of Replant Opportunities with AGMRI Saves Yield Potential A crop consultant in central Indiana encountered an early-season challenge due to increased rainfall. The relentless rain created conditions that impeded seed emergence, caused washouts, and extended the planting season. Widespread replanting in his area also meant his customers required extra support. Fortunately, he had an effective method for assessing the extent of the issues, allowing him to quickly identify the areas needing replanting and focus his efforts on assisting his customers. Without intervention, the farmer risked having 21% of the field suffer from inadequate emergence, which would drastically reduce his yield and impact his overall ROI for the year. The urgency of the situation and the tight schedule meant he needed a dependable data source to inform his replanting decisions quickly. DYK? The aerial layer, also known as RGB, is used in crop intelligence technology and is essential for monitoring plant health and easily assessing crop conditions. ❓How Does It Work? The aerial layer creates detailed maps of your fields, highlighting different crop types and features. Vibrant greens indicate healthy crops, while dull or varied colors can signal stress or disease. ❓ What Insights Does It Provide? By comparing images taken throughout the season, you can track crop growth and identify areas needing attention, such as weeds or nutrient deficiencies. Analyzing images over multiple seasons also helps spot long-term trends in crop performance. Reflecting on a fantastic week at Purdue University! Last week, we had the privilege of engaging with Purdue Agriculture's Ag Tech and Innovation class for first-year students. Territory Account Manager Demitrius Kikalos and Data Analyst Intern Ashley Haselby shared how ag technology is providing farmers and ag retailers with data-driven insights throughout the entire crop season. Ashley’s intern experience made the discussion especially relatable by discussing practical applications of ag tech for farmers and ag retailers, such as AGMRI. Thanks to Dennis Buckmaster and Dr. Christine Wilson for inviting us to your class to share more about our company and technology. We also want to thank Purdue University College of Agriculture Career Fair organizers for a fantastic event! It was a pleasure meeting so many talented students. Be sure to check out the Careers page on our site for opportunities: https://lnkd.in/d8UyVBnU #PurdueUniversityCareerFair #summerinterns2025 #agtech
