🔎 Post replacement inspection 🔎 After replacing the top chain on a floating asset, our work does not stop there. We provide #inspection and testing of the removed chains recovered from the #mooring lines. The objective of the inspection and testing is to determine the condition of the recovered chains, providing information that may be used to indicate the status of the remaining chains in the system. The dimensional inspection allows us to evaluate and analyse the following: o Measured diameter and length o Comparison of data against last performed subsea inspection dimensions o Corrosion type o Surface and Intergrip wear patterns o Loose or damaged studs o Chain stopper – trumpet wear Post-inspection, the recovered chains can have further tests conducted to better understand the state of the remaining mooring system and gain greater knowledge of the condition of the moorings in the form of fatigue and break load tests on representative samples. To Clean or Not to Clean? In the past, regular cleaning of mooring chains was a standard practice. However, we have learned that marine growth can act as a protective barrier, and excessive cleaning can actually accelerate corrosion. While some cleaning is necessary for dimensional checks and to ensure locking mechanisms on shackles and connectors are secure, it’s important to strike the right balance. At InterMoor, we bring decades of #subsea inspection experience to the table. We offer comprehensive services, from installation and #inspection to analysis and, if needed, repair or replacement of #mooring chains. Trust us to keep your operations running smoothly and safely. https://hubs.ly/Q02V7h3C0

🔄 Turning Lessons into Lasting Improvement 🔄 Learning from past experiences isn't just about avoiding mistakes; it’s about driving continuous improvement and elevating our practices. As part of October Global Safety Week, Ricky Leask, QHSE Manager, had the privilege to introduce our new online platform, empowering our teams to share lessons learned globally. Here’s how we manage lessons learned at every step: ·📋 Identify – We gather insights from projects, processes, and tasks—highlighting what worked and where we can improve. Whether through post-project reviews, feedback, or incident analysis, these lessons are carefully documented. · 📢 Communicate – Lessons are only valuable if shared. We ensure these insights reach the right teams, helping everyone learn from both our successes and setbacks. · 🛠️ Plan Actions – Turning insight into action, we develop clear plans that address root causes and implement best practices for future success. · 🚀 Implement – This is where real change happens. By applying lessons learned, we make our operations more efficient, safer, and better aligned with our strategic goals. · 🔄 Continuous Cycle – Finally, we review and monitor the outcomes to ensure improvements stick. This cycle of reflection and adaptation keeps us evolving and improving. Our new platform allows users to filter lessons by categories such as equipment type, mobilisation/demobilisation, and client-specific details—making key insights easily accessible for faster decision-making. 📊 Together, we’re creating a culture of continuous learning and safety across our teams and projects. 💪 #QHSE #SafetyWeek #ContinuousImprovement #LessonsLearned #SafetyLeadership #GlobalSafetyWeek

At InterMoor, we have a zero-tolerance policy on #bribery and the making of undue payments or kickbacks in any form, whether direct or indirect or in the public or private sector. We take the prevention, detection, and investigation of bribery incidents very seriously. This month, we have communicated to our staff the hidden costs of bribery on QHSE performance. 🔍 Quality Risks Bribery can lead to the use of substandard materials or allow defective products to pass inspections, ultimately damaging customer trust. When personal gain is prioritized over product integrity, the risk of failures or recalls increases. ⚠️ Health and Safety Hazards In environments tainted by bribery, safety protocols may be overlooked or ignored, leading to unsafe working conditions, increased accidents, and even fatalities. Skipping inspections or safety measures endangers both employees and the community. 🌍 Environmental Harm Bribery can result in bypassing environmental regulations, leading to illegal waste disposal, pollution, or overuse of natural resources. Such actions harm ecosystems, water supplies, and air quality, often causing long-term damage that is costly to reverse. 🔒 Compromising Audits and Culture Manipulated audits hide risks, creating a false sense of security. Bribery also undermines workplace morale, reducing employee engagement and fostering an unethical culture. When integrity is compromised, the organization’s overall performance and reputation suffer. 🤝 Our Commitment At InterMoor, we are dedicated to preventing bribery and ensuring that our QHSE practices remain ethical, transparent, and compliant. Together, we can maintain a safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible workplace by upholding the highest ethical standards. #Ethics #AntiBribery #QHSE #Transparency #Compliance
