This week, Intrepid had the pleasure of hosting Spike McRoy and Madeline Mullins from Morgan Stanley, who delivered a compelling presentation on the Psychology of Money. They shared valuable insights into how emotions shape our financial decisions and explored the five distinct financial personality types: Spenders, Savers, Risk-Averse, Gamblers, and Flyers. Key takeaways included understanding the impact of emotions like fear, gratitude, and guilt on our spending habits, the importance of a financial plan aligned with personal values, and strategies to manage financial decisions during market fluctuations. Spike and Madeline also emphasized the significance of effective communication about money with family and friends. Not only did they provide our employees with these key insights, but they also treated everyone to a delicious breakfast from Little Rosie's. We look forward to hosting Morgan Stanley again in the future and take pride in providing our employees with resources to keep them financially healthy. Intrepid is now hiring a Senior Solution-Level Software System Engineer! The successful candidate will join our team supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. Tasks will include: ✔️ Working as a member of the Solutions System Engineering Team in prioritizing capabilities to be worked in a given Program Increment (PI). ✔️ Modeling Capability behavior (SV-1, SV-4) using the MagicDraw MBSE tool. ✔️ Determining current Capabilities Description Document (CDD) and System Spec requirements being satisfied by the capability and establishing those links in the model. ✔️ Adjudicating review comments and transition recommended Capabilities/Features to the backlog by drafting Capabilities/Features for implementation using Jira. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering. This month, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Nicole Craft, Accounting Assistant at Intrepid! In her role, Nicole is the go-to person for travelers, addressing their questions and concerns while ensuring their expense reports are reviewed and processed for payment. She also serves as the backup for payroll, assisting bi-weekly to ensure everything is handled accurately and on time. Nicole joined the Intrepid team one year ago, and her favorite aspect of working here is the incredible support she receives from her colleagues. “Everyone is always so ready to jump in and help if need be,” Nicole shared. “I am so thankful for the people here at Intrepid.” One of her proudest moments at Intrepid so far was contributing to the Christmas for the Kids event during the holidays last year. “I loved being a part of something that brings joy to kids on such a special day,” she said. Nicole’s favorite event of the year is the Christmas party. “We get to dress up real fancy, eat good food, and reflect on the year we’ve all had together. It feels like one big family reunion, and I love it!” A few fun facts about Nicole: 👉 She played volleyball in college, despite never having played in high school or middle school. 👉 Nicole and her husband met at a local CrossFit gym, and two years later, he proposed to her at the same gym. 👉She has a 9-month-old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd named Miss Hattie Mae. Nicole exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and community at Intrepid, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of our team!

This month, Intrepid employees Kyle White and Donna Rybicky were recognized by their customer for outstanding support they recently provided in support of Army Analysis. Their hard work and dedication supporting business-related efforts that are tracked month-to-month by Senior Leadership resulted in an extraordinary reduction of over 50% off the list of transactions in just a few weeks. “This continuous, repetitive effort… allows the Army to maintain a proper and accurate financial standing for external reporting, improves our audit posture, as well as overall more timely accounting of appropriations for the customer. “Great effort from the team, and they definitely deserve some kudos. No small feat.” “Huge kudos and much gratitude to our Superheroes Donna and Kyle! We are so proud to receive recognition for our Intrepid employees who do amazing job supporting our customer,” said Oksana Becker, Program Task Lead, Intrepid. “This goes to show that everyone's effort does make a difference!”

Intrepid is now hiring a High Power Microwave/Radio Frequency Engineer! Join our team supporting the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability – High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM). Tasks will include: ✔️ Performing critical analysis of technical data packages including but not limited to: SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies. ✔️ Providing recommendation on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment. ✔️ Interfacing with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SMEs to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range of efforts being conducted. Last night's Young Professionals Mental Health Mixer, organized by WellStone was a remarkable event that fostered open discussions and exploration of mental health among young professionals. The gathering offered a unique opportunity to hear from leading professionals in the mental health field, as well as from young professionals who shared their personal mental health journeys. Intrepid is especially proud of our very own Rachel Roberts, who not only served on the committee for this impactful event but also shared her own mental health story. Rachel's commitment to promoting mental health awareness and her heartfelt contributions to the event were truly inspiring. At this year's SMD Symposium, we introduced a new charity giveback Plinko game at the Intrepid booth highlighting Still Serving Veterans. Symposium attendees participated in the game throughout the week, and today, we were able to deliver the final "winnings" to SSV! Still Serving Veterans is a beloved nonprofit organization not only to us but to the entire community in North Alabama. They work hard to empower veterans and their families by connecting them to meaningful careers, benefits, and services.
