Last year, we introduced da Vinci 5 to the world—and with it, our first-of-its kind Force Feedback technology. Now, we’re proud to announce the publication of two peer-reviewed studies in Surgical Endoscopy, which demonstrate the potential of our technology to help reduce the amount of force placed on tissue during surgery and enhance surgeon performance. “These studies show early, pre-clinical and compelling evidence of the potential impact of Force Feedback technology across all surgeon experience levels,” said Intuitive Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Myriam Curet. For Linda Tawdros, a field service engineer (FSE) at Intuitive, every day brings opportunities to make a meaningful difference. Supporting 14 hospitals across New York and New Jersey, Linda ensures da Vinci and Ion robotic systems are always ready for critical, life-changing surgeries. Whether she’s installing new technology, troubleshooting engineering challenges, or collaborating closely with her teammates, Linda knows she’s part of something bigger. “It’s a true team environment; you’re never alone. Just this morning, I joined a colleague to assist with an installation—we took in on it together,” Linda shares. But the most rewarding part of the work, Linda says, is seeing its real-world impact. “Watching firsthand how our technology helps doctors change lives is incredible.” Her advice to anyone considering an FSE career? “Do it.
