Why does the world need another methane-detecting satellite? 🛰️ Because it plays a pivotal role in ramping up efforts to share public data on emission sources and helping drive climate action. 🌍 The launch of Tanager-1 was a milestone for the Carbon Mapper Coalition, which is working to develop and deploy satellites that will detect and quantify methane super-emitters AND pinpoint their sources at a granular scale to support direct mitigation action.
