Last February after a landslide occurred at the Çöpler Mine in Türkiye, we conducted a thorough InSAR analysis using our Iris platform to identify any anomalous signals that preceded this unfortunate event. A year later we have rerun the analysis using our newly developed point relocation methodology and present an updated retroactive analysis, which aims to shed light on critical findings that can help safeguard mine sites in the future. While this case study addresses a serious incident, our goal is to contribute to the ongoing conversation about safety and risk management in the mining industry.
