  • If you’ve worked with Iron Woman over the past 20 years, you probably know Maggie. As one of our longest-tenured employees and Vice President of Transportation and Logistics, Maggie has been a cornerstone of Iron Woman’s success and innovation. From developing foundational processes in DOT compliance to championing sustainable materials management, Maggie’s impact is felt far and wide. Her work with local recyclers to haul reclaimed materials to Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) is transforming how the industry approaches waste diversion, helping our clients meet regulatory and environmental goals while reducing landfill waste. Her leadership ensures our logistics services align with sustainability efforts that benefit both communities and the planet. As a board member of the Colorado Motor Carriers Association (CMCA), Maggie has been a driving force in shaping transportation policies and advocating for industry improvements. She’s also actively involved with Recycle Colorado, HCC, and the Construction and Demolition Recycling Association. What really sets Maggie apart is her dedication to people—our team, our clients, and our communities. Whether guiding Colorado’s waste diversion movement or serving on Iron Woman’s Board of Directors, she brings her expertise, passion, and collaborative spirit to everything she does. Thank you, Maggie, for 20 years of excellence, innovation, and leadership!

  • As a Native American-owned company, we hold deep respect for our heritage and the legacy of those who came before us, including our founder’s great-great-great-grandmother, Iron Woman of the Blackfeet Nation. We recognize the Thanksgiving holiday can hold complex meanings, particularly for Indigenous communities. We take this time to honor resilience, heritage, and the importance of family and community, while also reflecting on our shared history. Wishing all a season of gratitude, reflection, and unity.

  • Last year’s unseasonably wet spring and summer had many cities around the Denver metro taking inventory of their storm drainage systems, ensuring readiness for future flood events. The Jackson Street Storm Drainage Improvements Project is part of Denver’s effort to improve the city’s storm drainage systems, creating a safer passage for transport through sustainable infrastructure. The team is making tremendous strides on the project. Project manager Brandon Wilkinson, Foreman Adan Mendez, and crew are impressively months ahead of schedule, completing all project milestones and exceeding their client's expectations, who have sung their praises as “The best utility crew the city has worked with.” Jackson Street is part of a growing roster of challenging projects we have performed for the City and County of Denver. We previously completed River North Park and the 27th Street Stormwater Interceptor project, which won the American Public Works Association's Project of the Year. We intend to carry the momentum and excellence into additional planned work with Denver, building today for a sustainable tomorrow.

  • Meet Brandon Wilkinson – Senior Project Manager on our Heavy Civil & Utilities Team! Over the past year, Brandon has led some of Iron Woman's most significant projects, including Jackson Street, Painted Prairie, and award-winning Heron Pond. As a Senior PM, Brandon oversees projects from start to finish, prioritizing field support and safety. He is advancing Alternative Delivery efforts at Iron Woman and mentoring the next generation of project managers. We are shining an especially bright light on Brandon’s contribution to the Jackson Street Storm Drainage Improvements Project. The project is part of the City and County of Denver’s efforts to improve storm drainage systems, creating safer passage for transport and sustainable neighborhoods. With Brandon’s leadership, especially during the preconstruction phase, the project is months ahead of schedule with a perfect safety record and uncompromised quality. Reflecting on the project, Brandon says, “The best part was the team atmosphere we had internally and with the client and the public.” Thank you, Brandon, for your dedication and impact!

  • Meet Jackie!! A star of our Civil division! Jackie joined Iron Woman as a Project Controls Specialist and has since risen to the role of Business Manager. She oversees divisional administration, financials, and system administration. Jackie also PMs projects and coaches her teammates to do big things. 😊 In her spare time, Jackie keeps busy with her husband and two kids, and the many sports they all play. We recently asked Jackie a few questions about her life as an industry leader. Here's what she told us... What achievements are you most proud of?   “I am most proud of an annual charity golf tournament I helped implement with suppliers and subcontractors. The event raised nearly $100k for charity!” What excites you most about your work and team?   “Our team works so well together. Each person goes above and beyond to ensure a successful project.” What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received? “Don't shy away from challenge. I have learned through exposing myself to new learning experiences.” We are so proud to have Jackie on our team! Stay tuned to meet more inspiring team members like Jackie!

  • Project Highlight: Painted Prairie! Iron Woman's Heavy Civil and Utilities team is making great strides on the Painted Prairie residential development in Aurora, CO! This project is a true testament to our team’s dedication and expertise in site development. The scope is massive, but our team— Nick Jechura, Trevor Fitzsimmons, Ozzy Sotelo, Jackie Huskey, and Brandon Wilkinson—is more than up to the task. With their skill and hard work, we’re building the foundations of a thriving new community. Cheers to the team for their progress and dedication on the ground! 👏

  • Our team is proud to have received the Bronze award in the Contribution to the Community category at the annual AGC ACE awards, in recognition of the Heron Pond Open Space and Caprio-Sanguinette Park Improvements Project. This environmental remediation and flood control project is part of the City and County of Denver’s Master Plan to redevelop 80 acres of open space and revitalize the South Platte riverfront within Denver’s Globeville and Elyria-Swansea neighborhoods. Iron Woman completed the middle phase of the project. Upon completion, this park will be one of the largest parks in Denver, bringing biodiversity, nature access, and connectivity to the community. We are exceptionally proud to be a part of this visionary project that strengthens the sustainability and vibrancy of our hometown, and we are excited to see what the next phase of the project brings! We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this project; the Iron Woman project team, our amazing group of subcontractors, the City and County of Denver, and more. This recognition and award goes to you! 🥂 👏 #AGCcolorado

  • As we celebrate 25 years of success, we're getting nostalgic for some of our most iconic projects, like Denver's Union Station. Under a contract with design-build partner Kiewit Western Company, Iron Woman installed an extensive stormwater management infrastructure underground at the station. The urban site required significant traffic management and safety control measures, which Iron Woman effectively managed to support a successful sustainable development project for all partners. Today, Union Station stands as a landmark in our city.
