A huge thank you to Three Wish Society Member Lisa Palladino and the team at Atrium Health Levine Children's for hosting a poetry and art workshop for children battling rare cancer as part of our Live My Dreams program. Inspired by Isabella Santos’ three wishes: Beat, Grow, Live, the beautiful works created by these young warriors will be compiled into an anthology titled “Wishes and Wings: Poems by and For Pediatric Cancer Heroes.” Once completed, it will be available for purchase. It was a truly special evening, offering families a chance to connect and giving the children a safe space to express themselves.

We’re honored to have been finalists for One Cause’s 2024 Storyteller of the Year award! Members of our team had the privilege of attending the recent RAISE conference in Nashville, where we connected with other nonprofits and learned from top leaders in the industry.   This experience left us inspired, energized and more determined than ever to continue making a difference for our rare cancer heroes. As a kick-off to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we want to introduce you to Lauren, a 12-year-old warrior who embodies courage, strength and resilience in the face of her unimaginable fight against ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of bone or soft tissue cancer discovered in her left leg. Every day, children like Lauren face the harsh realities of a cancer diagnosis. They endure countless hospital visits, painful treatments and the uncertainty of what tomorrow might bring -- but through it all, they demonstrate a spirit and determination that inspires us all.
