[🔥 Slide Deep Dive] Roadmap Development for Data Management Initiatives This slide presents a checklist aimed at guiding organizations in developing a comprehensive roadmap for data management initiatives. The focus is on integration, governance, and security enhancements, which are critical components in today’s data-driven environment. The checklist is organized under the workstream of Data Management, Integration, and Governance, indicating a structured approach to tackling data-related challenges. Each checklist item is categorized by type, including tasks, questions, verifications, and deliverables, which provides clarity on the actions required at each stage. Key tasks include inventorying existing data sources, which encompasses databases, spreadsheets, and paper documents. This foundational step is essential for understanding the current data landscape. Assessing the quality, accuracy, and completeness of these data sources follows, ensuring that the data being utilized is reliable. ➡️ Download the full deck >> https://lnkd.in/ecrQiwwu Explore more slides from this deck: ➡️ Comprehensive Process Evaluation and Improvement Checklist - https://lnkd.in/en-yGJPd ➡️ Framework for Process Automation and Digital Transformation - https://lnkd.in/es86xQ67 ➡️ Framework for Identifying Automation Opportunities - https://lnkd.in/eZJUPAuA ➡️ Digital Transformation Checklist for Process Digitization - https://lnkd.in/eq4JHMU4 ➡️ Comprehensive Framework for Process Automation Assessment - https://lnkd.in/eVjwbt5Y

Feedback Is the Breakfast of Champions – Understanding the McKinsey Feedback Model - https://lnkd.in/dm-nK_TF According to Ken Blanchard, the co-founder of Situational Leadership, “Feedback is the breakfast of champions.” McKinsey is a feedback-driven culture. Their culture has developed better consultants and made sure that there is greater client impact. Even less tenured consultants are expected to provide frequent, upward feedback to their leadership. Providing feedback is critical to helping our team and our company thrive. With feedback, team members can better understand which behaviors are best continued and which behaviors need to be changed. When this occurs, this allows every consultant and member of the team to be effective in their specific roles and functions. However, arriving at this point requires a special approach and skill of giving and receiving feedback. Giving feedback can be difficult when not done the right way. It can destroy but it can also build. It is those who have mastered the McKinsey Feedback approach who can bring out the Champion in ourselves and our company. The McKinsey Feedback Model “I think it’s very important to have a feedback loop, where you’re constantly thinking about what you’ve done and how you could be doing it better.” – Elon Musk Elon Musk was able to nail it when it comes to the McKinsey Feedback Model. The McKinsey Feedback Model , also known as the Action-Feeling-Feedback Model, is a communication and feedback framework designed to improve interpersonal and team dynamics within an organization. It is often used to facilitate open and constructive feedback discussions, promoting effective communication and understanding among team members. The McKinsey Feedback Model follows a structured format that allows the feedback to be specific, fact-based, less personal, irrefutable, and actionable. As you can see from the slide, this framework has 3 key components: The Action : This refers to the specific behavior or action that is observed by others. It could be a behavior during a meeting, a task completion, or any other observable action. The Feeling : This represents the emotional response or reaction of the observer to the action. It focuses on how the behavior made the observer feel and what impact it had on them. The Feedback : The feedback component involves expressing the feelings and emotions associated with the observed action in a constructive and open manner. It aims to create a safe space for discussion and understanding, fostering positive change in behavior. The Action and The Feeling set the stage for giving the recommendations without getting derailed by debating the context. The Feedback will solve the problem and prevent The Action and The Feeling from occurring again. When this happens, the expected change in behavior can ..

Gemba walks are an effective management tool. As with all processes involving people, there are cognitive biases that can limit the effectiveness of your Gemba walk. You can moderate the impact of the top 10 cognitive biases that impact a Gemba walk by applying the four areas of the System of Profound Knowledge: Appreciation for a System, Understanding Variation, Theory of Knowledge and Psychology.

𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜. Wouldn’t you want all employees to 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙣-𝘼𝙜𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 - working together to fix daily problems quickly and robustly? Employees are the eyes and ears of what's really going on throughout the organisation. How much is employee silence about problems and waste that they see costing your organisation? 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙙, 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩. In the 1980’s with Total Quality Management we had Quality Circles, groups of employees who meet regularly to resolve problems in their area. All employees should be empowered to solve their own local problems - the source of the solution rather than firefighting, reworking, best guess fixes or using 'workarounds'. These bad behaviours only generate even more waste and lose you customers. Employees in all functions interact with processes every day – they know more than anyone - remember they create the value! Make work a more positive experience – feel good about what they do. It makes Quality Circles seem natural – leadership of their own area. The ultimate irony is those most aware of the problems are least empowered to solve them. Have you an organisation-wide method for problem solving? It is a catalyst for teamwork, breaking down silos, reducing waste and improving quality. Invest in people based, simple, engaging, team building, problem solving - everyday, everybody, everywhere. The vast majority of problems are small not requiring a 'project' and in general these smaller problems can be solved by employees with simple analysis tools. How are you engaging the ~80% of employees who are not involved with Lean Six Sigma? Don't make it elitist! All employees should be the engine for holistic Continuous Improvement - it starts with them - looking for, recognising and speaking up about any problems they see. When you make problem solving part of everyone's job - in every function - then your culture accelerates the process of recognising problems and solving them. Develop problem seekers and problem solvers - thinking workers. Results will improve as your problem solving capability increases. Deploy 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙧®- enable all employees in '𝘿𝙈𝘼𝙄𝘾 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝘿𝙖𝙮' via a rapid Train The Trainer approach, supported by a proven 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 model Crucial Influence™ ensures the skills learnt become habit, cultural. For any business strategy: No behaviour change = No lasting success. Simple and inexpensive. Any size organisation. Materials customised and branded for clients. It's not about Software, Certification, project database, Sponsors, Tollgates or Charters - keep it simple - just extensive use of an organisation-wide 𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙 for problem solving! 🏃♂️ CpK vs. PpK – Sprint vs. Marathon in Process Capability Understanding your process is a bit like understanding your athletic performance. ✅ CpK is your sprint — it shows what your process is capable of in the short term, under controlled and stable conditions. It's all about precision and potential. ✅ PpK is your marathon — it reflects how your process actually performs over time, including all the real-world variability that creeps in. It's about consistency and reliability. 📉 A high CpK but low PpK? Your process can sprint… but it can't hold pace over the long run. 👉 Want sustainable performance? Focus not just on capability, but also on stability and control over time. #LeanSixSigma #CpK #PpK #ProcessCapability #ContinuousImprovement #OperationalExcellence #QualityEngineering #StatisticalThinking
