About us
IU Health Foundation leverages the power of philanthropy to support the IU Health vision of making Indiana one of the nation’s healthiest states. When you give to IU Health, you aren’t just making a donation—you’re making All the Difference. Philanthropic support allows IU Health to: - Drive changes that transform the health of all Hoosiers, now and for the future - Ensure that no Hoosiers need to look outside our home state to access the very best care — regardless of how serious or complex the diagnosis - Deliver care outside the walls of our hospitals and clinics to address social impediments to wellness - Ensure that IU Health remains a leader as healthcare evolves and new health challenges come along - Empower IU Health team members to think innovatively, accelerate implementation, and address the challenges that lead to breakthroughs - Honor past and current donor intentions by ensuring that dollars designated for local needs stay in the community.

We are proud to see the impact of the WeCare program and the Community Health Workers (CHWs) who are making a difference! Thanks to a federal grant secured by IU Health Foundation, these CHWs are able to help pregnant and postpartum parents with resources and emotional support for the next two years. Summer is here and it is important to protect yourself from ultraviolet (UV) rays. July marks UV Safety month and listed here are tips for safely enjoying the summer months. ☀️Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen that filters out both UVA and UVB rays and has an SPF of 30 or higher. Make sure to reapply sunscreen regularly, and don’t forget to check your sunscreen’s expiration date. 😎Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays to reduce the risk of cataracts and protect the sensitive skin around your eyes. 👒Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants with tightly woven fabric to optimize your protection, like a t-shirt or beach cover-up. 🎗️UV rays can sometimes lead to skin cancer. Thank you to Jack Georgeann and Stacey Connaughton for their gift of a bell to the radiation treatment area of the cancer center at IU Health Arnett. Prior to this donation, patients who completed radiation oncology treatment would have to visit the medical oncology unit to ring the bell, and their care team would not be able to join. "For many patients, ringing a bell at the conclusion of their cancer treatment celebrates the effort required to reach that milestone," says Dr. Matthew Orton. "This generous donation will allow patients the opportunity to celebrate with their loved ones and their radiation oncology care team."
