Cheers to a hauntingly good time! Our latest 25th-anniversary celebration brought the Halloween spirit to life across four of our offices! Staff showed up to our Ghoulish Gathering in their best costumes, enjoyed spooky snacks, decorated Halloween cookies, and took on some festive games. It was a fantastic afternoon of lunch, laughs, and eerie vibes! A big thank you to everyone who organized and to all who showed up and showed out! The JWI team was honored to participate in this year’s Delta Air Lines Fall Classic, benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Hughes Spalding Hospital. This two-day event featured a golf tournament at the stunning Braelinn Golf Course and a sporting clays tournament at the beautiful Foxhall Resort. JWI was proud to tee off alongside two Delta Air Lines project managers. The tournament was filled with camaraderie, a fantastic silent auction, and a raffle and ended with an awards ceremony. The sporting clays on the following day added even more excitement to the weekend! What made the event truly special were the incredible stories shared by children and their families who benefited from the amazing care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). It was a moving experience and a reminder of why we support such a wonderful cause. Total 70 airports surveyed in the first 25 days - Design: 120 airport designs approved in under 25 days by JWI’s internal Design Team - Go-Live: 24 airports went “live” under 25 days from design approval   Alaska Airlines Bag Tag Station (BTS) Program - Wrapped up in 2024 across 70 airports - 25th airport completed: Tucson International Airport - First 25 airports surveyed in 16 days; 38 airports completed in the first 25 days! - Design: 38 airport designs approved in under 25 days by JWI’s internal Design Team - Go-Live: 26 airports went “live” under 25 days from design approval   American Airlines TP-100 Ticketing Kiosk Program - Finished in 2015 with 255 airports worldwide - 25th airport completed: Chicago O’Hare International Airport (99 kiosks installed) - First 25 airports surveyed in 22 days; total 33 airports surveyed in the first 25 days   Southwest Airlines Self-Tag Kiosks Program (2024 – Select Airports in partnership with Furstenberg Construction) - 4 airports completed, 1 remaining scheduled to complete in early November - 5th airport completed: Memphis International Airport - 4 of the 5 airports went “live” under 25 days from design approval   As Program Managers with experience at over 250 airports, we excel in identifying program parameters and priorities to set realistic goals. Our expertise covers airport requirements, equipment, and material availability, local operational nuances, vendor capacity, stakeholder management, regional-based M/WBE participation, and more. It’s time to spotlight our REVLAC Project! JWI is the Resident Engineer for the IDOT REVLAC project, providing Phase III engineering services to oversee construction activities along I-90 from Foster Ave. to Ohio Street, including the rehabilitation of the Kennedy Expressway Reversible Lanes. These lanes are being upgraded to alleviate the requirement for personnel to be on-site to manually operate the gates. Our team oversees construction inspection activities, ensuring the seamless refurbishment of the Reversible Lane Access Control System (REVLAC). This includes replacing 117 swing gates and upgrading gate arms, installing six impact restraining barriers, incorporating over 150,000 feet of fiber optic cable, and improving nodal building power systems to support over 900,000 feet of electrical cable. Our team is hard at work coordinating the transfer of electrical cabinets, running fiber optic cables, and installing handholes to keep the project on track. We had an amazing time testing our strength at the ultimate tug-of-war competition at O'Hare International Airport, pulling an aircraft 12 feet in just over 10 seconds to support Special Olympics Illinois!
