About us

If these walls could talk they might say something about Jacobson & Company. The long-standing company specializes in drywall and ceiling installations and has been working in around the metropolitan New York area for more than 130 years. When Jacobson & Company was established by Gustave Jacobson in 1889, it specialized in ornamental plaster contracting, working on iconic projects such as the Presidential Palace in Cuba, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Hearst Castle. The company began offering acoustical ceiling products in the 1940s and drywall projects in the 1990s. More recent projects include the new Yankee Stadium, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, the renovation of Madison Square Garden, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Modern Art. Fifth-generation family member Thomas Jacobson is the company's chairman and CEO.
