It is with great sadness and profound loss that we announce the passing of the Honorable Sondra M. Miller. Judge Miller was the much-beloved Founder, Past President and longtime Board member of Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert. Our deepest condolences to Judge Miller's family, friends and colleagues.   Judge Miller’s life and career were spent advancing the social, economic and legal status of women through the law. She achieved greatness in the legal community through her pioneering efforts and “firsts” that include her graduation from Harvard Law School’s first class to admit women and her appointment as the first woman Associate Justice, New York State Appellate Division, Second Department where she served from 1990 to 2006. The family respectfully requests that contributions in memory of Judge Miller be made to JALBCA Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert and the WESTCHESTER WOMENS BAR ASSOCIATION FOUNDATION INC.
