Junior Achievement of Northern California

What an inspiring way to close out a busy week! After a whirlwind schedule—starting with a red-eye to New York on Monday, a client forum and dinner on Tuesday, and back to San Francisco on Wednesday night—the highlight was the time spent volunteering at Abraham Lincoln High School with Junior Achievement of Northern California. We joined students for a "Speed Networking" event, where 10th and 11th graders practiced their elevator pitches to prepare for internship interviews. In these quick, impactful conversations, we provided feedback on their presentations and answered questions about our careers. Our hope was to offer them practical skills, encouragement, and a glimpse of the possibilities ahead. A big thank you to Ruby Damian for organizing and inviting us! We're thrilled to announce that JA Finance Park Pop-Up will be launching in Spring 2025! This innovative mobile experience will bring financial literacy education to students across Northern California. Through portable, custom-built learning stations or "storefronts", students will experience real-world personal finance simulations. Guided by volunteers, they'll make tough budgeting decisions based on assigned life scenarios. We're looking for partners to help us make this program a success. Whoever said millennials are not philanthropic clearly has never met this passionate group of supporters at Oliver Wyman. Last night, we gathered for their Annual Halloween Charity Auction and raised more than $60,000 to support two fantastic organizations.
