Janus was at the Westfield Washington Township sponsored learning series this morning. Hedges does an amazing job at offering bite sized opportunities for non profits to learn how to share our story more effectively. Big Thanks to Westfield Washington Township for these opportunities!!

Making a positive difference....
It brought tears to my eyes today finally unveiling Invest Hamilton County’s #InvestAbility program today. Over a year of work in the making with once a dozen community partners… together we’re going to change lives and make our community a place that even more embodies opportunity for all. A special thank you to Janus Developmental Services and Hamilton County Tourism, Inc. for all the amazing partnership since 2022 to help get us to this place… and to Hamilton County, Indiana and Indiana Family and Social Services Administration for supporting this new initiative.

Did you know that Non Profit leaders in Hamilton County regularly come together to discuss our county's needs and opportunities for collaboration? We do and we do it every month! Today, in honor of Disability Awareness Month, Janus had the privilege of hosting the Hamilton County Non-Profit Executive Directors Group and we were able to hold a great discussion with County Councilor Steve Nation. From free clinics, to behavioral health, to disability providers, to youth services, senior services, housing needs, transportation needs, and domestic violence (and more) we covered many voices of need in/for our county and look forward to planning to provide ongoing education and awareness of how non-profits support our great community today and how we are planning well for tomorrow!

This was a great opportunity for advocacy.
For those who may have missed it, Andrew, along with our friends from Janus Developmental Services, The Arc of Indiana, and Easterseals Crossroads spoke at a public hearing with the Indiana Transportation Committee yesterday. The group spoke to advocate for the transportation needs of Hoosiers with disabilities and emphasize the importance of transportation as a means of independence.
