We're looking for a Deputy Director of Family & Morale, Welfare & Recreation to join our team! If you're a dynamic leader with experience in managing Child & Youth Services programs, Sports, Fitness & Aquatics facilities, major special events, a large Outdoor Recreation program, multiple libraries and various food & beverage operations we want to hear from you. Key responsibilities include: • Serves as the Deputy to the Director of the Directorate of Family & Morale, Welfare & Recreation (DFMWR) for a large/mega large garrison by performing a variety of duties in the short- and long-range planning, coordination, pertaining to the Directorate. • Reviews program changes and discusses changes in goals and objectives with activity managers and supervisors, ensuring objectives and goals are attainable and economically feasible. • Represents the Director in all matters including the coordination of programs and activities within/outside the directorate; Keeps the Director informed of overall accomplishments, deficiencies, and status of on-going programs and special projects. • Provides technical guidance and administrative oversight through direct and indirect supervision of subordinate supervisors and employees. Exercises the full range of personnel management responsibilities. Integrates plans into appropriated and non-appropriated fund annual operating budgets; Responsible for assuming the duties of the director in his/her absence and may perform other duties as assigned.
