JCM Coworker Retiree Carol Pitt JCM Industries is sad to announce the passing of Carol Pitt, one of our retirees. Carol held the position of Customer Service/Inside Sales Manager with other assignments in transportation, quotations, and many other responsibilities. As a 34-year veteran of JCM, Carol was very instrumental in the growth of our company and building JCM’s reputation of First Class Service to our customers. Carol represented JCM at industry events and had a well-established following with many of those “customers” becoming lifelong friends. Our thoughts remain with Carol’s family and close friends.

Square Hole-Round Peg! 🔄 Another high-liability specialty job successfully completed by Tap Master. We tackled a unique challenge: installing a 24” hot tap on a 36” CLMC force main with a plug valve that couldn’t be hot tapped directly. Our solution? A JCM 415 36” x 24” Floating Hub tapping sleeve paired with a JCM 24” x 16” Specialty Tee. 🛠️ By using our 24” x 16” line stop machine, we isolated the line, allowing our customer to seamlessly install their new vault, 24” piping, and 24” plug valve. Once done, we removed the line stop, and the new branch line was operational. ✅ Since 1993, Tap Master has specialized in hot tapping, line stopping, pipe freezing, and live leak repair. A wonderful Product Training meeting this past week with our coworkers from A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. and Cambridge Brass. Working sessions on JCM manufactured products, design features & how they work; pipe types & the different characteristics, proper selection and applications. Finished up the days with some hands on instruction on installation tricks of the trade and bolt tightening techniques. Yes! They reached the proper torque levels. Big thank you to JCM Regional Manager Roger Riddle for providing first person experiences with our products and our outstanding JCM Quality Assurance coworkers who answered questions and provided quick response to an unexpected request!!
