Tuesday July 30th marked a joyous day for University of North Georgia Cumming Campus with the Ribbon-Cutting for the completion of the Academic Building Addition. The 27,535 sq. ft. expansion provides large student study spaces both open and private, 16 faculty shared offices, 1 large classroom, 4 small classrooms, 2 computer labs, 1 campus police suite, 1 faculty break area, restrooms, and 1 nursing sim lab with debrief rooms, a control station and support spaces. Cumming Campus President Ken Crowe served as the Master of Ceremony. Supportive speakers included former Forsyth County Superintendent Dr. Jeff Bearden, State Senator Greg Dolezal, University System of Georgia Chancellor Dr. Sonny Perdue and UNG president Dr. Michael Shannon. All spoke about the university’s mission being Students First with Innovation and Diversity. The expansion for the Cumming campus will help support the vision and economic development that is strategically placed here with the great need for physical and mental health. Student Rebecca Mann spoke about how this will impact the student nation in healthcare with her focus in counseling. Acknowledgement also goes to John McGruder and Mary Helen McGruder as pillars of the community and for their passion for the University’s growth. Jericho Design Group had support from their engineers Shear Structural, Stantec, and Conway & Owen. Amazing furniture solutions from Stephen Weed with Furni. Thank you to Georgia State Finance & Investment Commission (GSFIC), Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, and The University of North Georgia for this opportunity!

Exciting progress to share on our new state-of-the-art medical office building!   The first image shows the architectural rendering with abundant glass, clean lines, and contemporary finishes. We are thrilled with how the second image of the finished construction captures our team's flawless execution in bringing that compelling vision to reality - from the striking glass frontage and modern facade, to the spacious, light-filled layout primed to provide an outstanding environment for delivering quality patient care.   Our team's meticulous attention to detail ensured the building stayed true to that original design intent, creating a beautiful yet functional space with collaborative areas and ample natural light to benefit staff and patients. This is the third completed new medical office building for this client with two more to come. #healthcaredesign #betterbydesign #renderingmagic
