  • Yesterday we celebrated the 15th anniversary of Delta Air Lines flying into T4. 15 years ago, Delta leased its first gate at T4, and since then, we have been proud to call Delta our highly valued business partner.    Fast forward to today: we have evolved from a single gate to a strategic partnership, as Delta took on the role of anchor tenant at our terminal. Our shared values of safe and seamless operations and customer experience have resulted in some of our proudest moments over the years, including consolidating all of Delta's JFK flights at T4 and expanding Concourse A to build additional Delta gates, establishing two Delta Sky Clubs, and celebrating the recent opening of a brand-new Delta One lounge. Our commitment to innovation has yielded a cutting-edge biometric program for Delta customers at T4 to use a digital ID, and we have worked closely together to further our sustainability goals, partnering to purchase sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) to further the aviation industry's goals to reduce the environmental impact of air travel.    These initiatives, all part of the transformation of T4, are paving the way for the future of our terminal - and together, we will continue to invest in our facility and our passengers to create incredible journeys. We are confident that our partnership will continue to drive innovation at T4 for the next 15 years and beyond.

At JFKIAT, we know that our strength is in our people- and as a Queens-based business, we are fortunate to have a community that reflects the rich diversity of our home New York City. As we celebrate #HispanicHeritageMonth, we are proud to honor the diverse and talented members of our community who contribute to our success at T4. Here, Christy Medina, Edwin Alfaro and Gabriel Rivera share their cultures, and give us some personal travel tips about visiting the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Puerto Rico.

  • We are proud to announce that JFKIAT has been recognized in the top five winners of Aviation Business News’ inaugural Best Place to Work in Aviation awards! The awards program recognizes businesses in the aviation sector that are going above and beyond to drive employee retention, benefits, training, and culture, based on employee surveys to assess what they think of their companies. At JFKIAT, we consider our highly talented, diverse community to be our greatest asset as we work to achieve a best-in-class customer experience - and we continue to invest in our people through our diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, develop programs for our employees, and provide opportunities for growth and development. Thank you to our incredible and unique team at JFKIAT, and congratulations to all the other honorees!

This past weekend, Stacey Lora, CISM, VP of Safety & Security, and Gina Battagliola, PMP, Director of Terminal Redevelopment, attended and spoke at the Girls in Aviation event organized by The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.    The event showcased the wide range of opportunities within the aviation industry, extending beyond traditional roles such as pilots and flight attendants. Stacey and Gina shared insights from their career paths, taking chances and embracing opportunities that led them to their current position with the group of young girls, emphasizing that aviation career paths are not defined by gender but by one's individual characteristics and abilities.    Their discussions explored opportunities across all areas of the field and raising standards. Thank you to Hersh K. Parekh, Esq., the Port Authority for organizing, and to everyone who attended!

  • As part of our extensive sustainability program at T4, we regularly partner with local organizations to raise awareness around sustainability and the importance of protecting our planet. One such partnership is our work with The Bronx Zoo and the Wildlife Conservation Society to bring T4 passengers an immersive holographic experience featuring a variety of animals from the Bronx Zoo, from sloths to alligators, pelicans, warthogs and more. The installation provides a mix of engaging and informative content, and highlights the work of the Wildlife Conservation Society around the globe. If you're traveling through T4 this week, be sure to check it out!

For JFKIAT, sustainability is embedded into everything we do at T4 – in partnership with the The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, we prioritize sustainable initiatives in our operations, technology, customer experience, and more. As a sustainability leader within the aviation industry, we know that supporting a healthy environment is critical for our future as a society – and at JFKIAT we ensure that, year-round, that mission is put to action.    We're celebrating Climate Week NYC with an activation at T4 for our passengers and employees, inviting our community to participate in surveys to help us recertify our LEED Platinum status and elevate our sustainability programming for the future. Everyone who completes a survey will receive a reusable tote bag made from 100% recycled materials. This week, we're also using our Oscar Screen at T4 to display messaging about best practices to live a more sustainable lifestyle. If you're passing through T4 this week, be sure to stop by our activation to learn more.

  • We are pleased to share that JFKIAT was recognized on the Crain's New York Business Best Places to Work list for the fifth consecutive year, and is the only aviation company named to this year's list. At JFKIAT, we stand firmly in the belief that our people are our most important asset. Through our extensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives, we provide year-round programs to provide JFKIAT employees with a wide range of awareness and education opportunities. Through our philanthropic program, 4GOOD, we also work with a wide range of community partners to support local residents and businesses - providing programs for JFKIAT employees to work directly with the local community we are lucky to be part of. We are so proud of our one-of-a-kind team, and we are grateful for their dedication to delivering incredible journeys for our travelers at T4. Congratulations to our fellow honorees!

  • Today, we pause to honor the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001, and express our deepest thanks to the brave heroes who served on that day. This morning Terminal 4 observed two minutes of silence, at the times that the towers were struck, to commemorate the lives that were lost. We will never forget the bravery and resilience that emerged amidst unfathomable tragedy.
