🚀 Unlocking Growth, One Sip at a Time 🍹 At Jia, we believe that business success is like a finely crafted beverage—it takes the right ingredients, careful preparation, and perfect timing. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with African Originals, a brand that has not only transformed Kenya's craft beverage industry but has also set new standards for innovation and quality. This partnership is a perfect example of how innovative financing can brew opportunities for rapid growth. 🤝 Founded by Alexandra Chappatte, African Originals has been shaking up Kenya's craft beverage scene with bold flavors made with local ingredients like Turmeric & Chili Tonic and Passion & Lime Cider—perfect for cracking open on a sunny Nairobi afternoon. ☀ Despite their early success and strong demand for their unique products, African Originals—like many growing businesses—faced challenges in accessing the capital they needed. With Jia's invoice financing solution, African Originals was able to unlock capital tied up in receivables, allowing them to invest in their growth and craft success, sip by sip. 📈 The results speak for themselves: African Originals achieved a remarkable 200% growth last year, firmly establishing themselves as one of Kenya's premier craft beverage brands. Their products are now synonymous with quality, innovation, and the authentic taste of Kenya. 🇰🇪 We’re incredibly proud to have facilitated over $1M in working capital originations for African Originals, helping them navigate the challenges of scaling a business in today’s competitive market. But this partnership is about more than just numbers; it’s about supporting a brand that embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of Kenya. It’s about bringing the refreshing, vibrant flavors of African Originals to more people, one bottle at a time. 🌍 Curious how Jia can help your business reach its full potential? Learn more about our collaboration with African Originals and explore our financing solutions that can help you grow. 🚀 #Fintech #InvoiceFinancing #SMEGrowth #SmallBusiness #CraftBeverage #BusinessGrowth #FlavorsOfKenya

🦒 We Jia-raffes are excited to announce that Jia has been selected as a grantee in the The Arbitrum Foundation RWA Innovation Grants program! 🎉 This grant isn’t just about pushing the boundaries of blockchain technology—it’s about making a real difference for entrepreneurs in emerging markets who need access to capital to grow their businesses. The pilot phase of the Arbitrum RWA Innovation Grants program (RWAIG) that I have been privileged enough to run with Areta has finally come to an end. Over the past two months of running this program, we are proud to have received 35+ grant applications, and approved 300K ARB in grants to 8 grantees building RWA-focused projects on the Arbitrum network. We were impressed by the quality of applications we received and are highly optimistic about the growth of Arbitrum’s RWA ecosystem. Special thanks to all our grantees DoDAO, Frictionless Markets, PYOR, Mystic Finance, Jia, Truflation, Infinfty, and Backed Finance AG, for applying under this program and contributing to the growth of the budding RWA vertical on Arbitrum. We also appreciate the efforts of our Expert Committee: Colin Cunningham from Chainlink Labs, Jonathan Espinosa from Securitize, Manuela Warnier and Sophia Shluger from PV01, Shrey Rastogi from Libre Capital, Eli Cohen from Centrifuge, and Adam Lawrence from RWA.xyz, in contributing to the success of the program.

Blockchain technology has many use cases and here's one: I had the privilege to cover the story of how microfinancing firm Jia is using blockchain technology to serve small business owners in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and Kenya 🇰🇪 . Thank you Zach Marks and Mark Anthony Sy Quimsiam for introducing Jimsen, a fruit and vegetable vendor from Makati City, to me and letting me tell his story. When I started covering the blockchain space two years ago, it is my hope to put faces of people who are benefiting from the technology. And Jimsen's story is one example.
