As we build up our governance of AI, we’re sharing what we’re learning. Medical Director Dr. Aisha Rahim spoke at a seminar about AI and health care at Riyadh KSA. Dr. Rahim is part of our AI Governance Council’s executive oversight committee, helping to define and deploy AI use in our organization. #AIinHealthcare #HealthCareInnovation

AEP is here! Medicare's annual election period began today and runs until Dec. 7. During this time, Medicare beneficiaries can review and change their coverage options for 2025. We are proud to offer Advantage MD as a Medicare Advantage option to beneficiaries in Maryland and Virginia. We hope all Medicare-eligible individuals take the time this AEP to consider their choices and make the best decision for their health care needs. #JohnsHopkinsMedicare #AEP2025

Our Operations Lead Team volunteered at the Howard County Food Bank on Wednesday, sorting and packing food donations, stocking shelves and distributing food to families in need. We value opportunities like this to be out in the community, contributing in a hands-on way to one of our organization’s key priorities: access to healthy food.

The ACG System from Johns Hopkins Solutions has yielded significant benefits to our health plans and those we serve. Kristin Poth, AVP of Health Services, presented with Sarah Kachur at the conference, and had this to say: “It was an incredible opportunity to highlight the power of collaboration and the value of ‘One Hopkins.’ By leveraging world-renowned expertise and best-in-class software like the ACG System, we’re continuously improving health outcomes for the members we serve. Working together across teams allows us to deliver meaningful results, and I’m proud to be part of this transformative journey.”
🚀 Thrilled to present at the 2024 ACG System Conference, where today Kristin Poth, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CCM and I shared how Johns Hopkins Health Plans is driving value and improving population level outcomes! We created a proactive, segmentation-driven approach that aligns strategies & resources, improves outcomes, and reduces costs across diverse populations. Kristin’s team has positive early results: 💡Updated care management identification approach, targeting patients with 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩 and 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 📊 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 generated 18% improvement in A1C control and 21% increase in blood pressure control measures 🤰 High Risk Maternity Program increased postpartum visits in 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝-𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙞𝙙 patients 🎯 By re-deploying staff and optimizing vendor relationships, the team focused their efforts to optimize impact AND eliminated redundant outreaches The impact of this structured, proactive approach has been phenomenal, and I’m excited to continue our collaboration over the coming year!
