🎉🎉 Exciting News, Amherst County! 🎉🎉 What started as a vision to expand accessible healthcare in Amherst County has now become a reality! Over the past year, we’ve worked tirelessly to bring this dream to life—from planning and groundbreaking to construction and opening our doors to patients in June. In August, we hosted a community open house, welcoming neighbors and friends to explore the new space. Now, we are thrilled to celebrate the official GRAND OPENING of the Johnson Health Center—Amherst County Community Health Center! 🏥💙 This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the generosity and unwavering support of our donors, the dedication of local elected officials, and the essential funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Through the 2021 American Rescue Plan – Health Center Construction and Capital Improvements (ARP-Capital) award, we received one-time funding that supports construction, expansion, alteration, renovation, and other capital improvements to modify, enhance, and expand our healthcare infrastructure. Together, we are building a healthier future for our community, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support! The compassion and commitment of these wonderful donors make our community stronger: Centra, The Al Stroobants Foundation, The Cabell Foundation, Gift in honor of Norma S. White, LPC, Gary W. Campbell, Greif, Inc., Carter Craft Foundation, Gift in honor of Nancy L. Ellis, First Citizens Bank, Freedom First, Christina & Rachel Goff, Mr. & Mrs. Robert J. Congratulations to Kimberly, Winter, Haley, Deborah, and Holly for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence. You are true trailblazers, and we are so proud of what you have accomplished. 🦷😁Let's see those smiles!😁🦷 Partnerships with participating local schools make it possible to reach more of our pediatric population to care for their dental needs. We are proud to offer our School Based Oral Health Program (SBOHP) to children across our community. With parent or guardian permission, this program via our Mobile Dental Unit makes it possible for children to get basic dental care conveniently integrated into their school day. It's a win-win-win! 🥇🏆 Just another way we are "Improving Access to Healthcare for ALL!" 😉
