Last week our CEO Naama Stauber Breckler spoke at the Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations Conference in San Diego. Key themes discussed amongst all leaders: 💡 How can Medicare Advantage plans play a bigger role in addressing health disparities and ensuring equitable access to healthcare 💡 How can we better leverage data to identify members with health and health-related social risk factors and translate that into effective population management 💡 And one of our favorites is how to drive better engagement and how human-to-human engagement can impact retention and health outcomes For us, the path to engagement and impact lies in the trust we build between our members and their peer coaches—a human connection that leads to better engagement and retention, 97% satisfaction, and more efficient cost of care.
I enjoyed talking at the Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations Conference in San Diego, about how innovative products, services, and technology can improve quality, simplify healthcare operations, and reduce spend. Huge thanks to Hank Osowski and my fellow panelists from Victoria Andrews, MSN, FNP (Hello Heart), Timothy Buxton (Annova Solutions), and Vanessa Robson (Relay Network) for the engaging conversation. A big highlight was hearing from many of our partners and friends: 🌟 Dr. Max Sungurov MD, MBA sharing wisdom about MLR and the impact on the future growth of MA plans 🌟 Allison Hess explaining best practices on partnering with community-based organizations to identify and address access barriers in rural communities (many of our members live in rural communities and we see strong adaption there, so this one is close to heart) 🌟 Michael Spicer, MBAH discussing how to evolve benefits design to meet Part D regulatory changes and member needs 🌟 Christine Leo shedding light on an area top of mind for many payers, benefits versus clinical programs, and how to navigate the gray area while meeting regulations Thank you Abby Lee Katabaro for chairing the conference, and for Christopher Prieto for being a great conference partner. I left feeling energized about the opportunities facing Medicare Advantage plans and proud of the contribution Better Health is making to transform at-home care for MA members with chronic conditions through better supplies and support.

Our team will be attending the 8th annual Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations alongside our CEO & co-founder Naama Stauber Breckler. She will speak about Better Health's transformation in the last year and the innovation to come as our Peer Support program expands into new networks nationwide. 🚀
I'm excited to speak at the Medicare Advantage Leadership Innovations conference next week in San Diego. I look forward to sharing the stories of how the Better Health team has reimagined the member experience with a novel peer-to-peer program - something that has never been done in the DME and medical supplies world. Send me a DM if you want to meet up with me & Christopher Prieto!
