Offshore Wind Energy Occupational Maps: We Need Your Feedback! NREL, in partnership with Julius, is developing Offshore Wind Energy Occupational Maps to align job titles with the Standardized Occupational Classification (SOC) system. These maps aim to provide detailed job descriptions, education levels, certifications, and required skills for various roles in the offshore wind industry. Your input is vital to ensuring these resources meet the needs of the wind industry. Before publishing the final version, we are opening the #windenergy occupational maps for input until Oct. 31, 2024. Capital Region Green Buildings Career Map Launched! We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the Capital Region Green Buildings Career Map, a powerful new tool designed to connect job seekers in the Washington, DC region with the growing local opportunities in the green building sector. As the developers of this regional career map, we collaborated closely with the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) and the Building Innovation Hub to ensure that this resource meets the needs of local jobseekers, educators, career advisors, employers, and workforce professionals. The map not only highlights the types of jobs available but also highlights local training opportunities, helping to bridge the gap between job seekers and the training they need. We're proud to be part of this initiative that will empower residents to thrive in the green economy. We were honored to have Shakir Cannon-Moye represent Julius Education on the "Reimagining Workforce Development" panel at the USGBC Workforce Development in Green Building Summit. The discussion highlighted the incredible impact of the Rising Stars Program, which is actively creating a new pipeline of talent and empowering underrepresented youth to pursue successful careers in the construction industry. During the panel, Shakir, alongside David Hutchinson and Alisha Soslow Harrington, shared insights on how we’re leveraging community engagement, innovative technologies, and industry partnerships to provide program participants with the career roadmaps and guidance they need to take control of their future. At Julius Education, we're passionate about guiding future talent toward impactful careers in the green workforce, and it was inspiring to connect with others who share that commitment.

A Big Thank You to Our Summer Intern Team! As the summer comes to a close, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our summer interns who have been an integral part of our team over the past few months. In particular, we were thrilled to work with our partner Browning the Green Space through the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Support Internship Program Success (SIPS) Initiative, which places diverse interns into climate technology companies like Julius, and through NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Internship Program. These programs have allowed us to work with talented interns who bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to the table. Our interns gained hands-on experience in machine learning, product design, and market research, while helping us advance our Energy Labor Market Intelligence Platform and Workforce Tools. To our interns: your hard work, creativity, and dedication have made a significant impact on our company.
