It's Health Literacy Month! That’s why, this month, we’ve started a new social media series with the sole purpose of helping those who aren’t in the medical field better understand everyday terms their doctors may use. If you have a question about a medical term you keep hearing but aren’t sure what it means, comment below, and we’ll send you an easy-to-understand answer! #HealthLiteracyMonth #patienteducation #clinicaltrials

October is Health Literacy Month, but at Jumo Health, we focus on improving health literacy everyday. 65% of people say that they receive healthcare resource materials that they cannot understand, and we are dedicated to changing that! We develop educational healthcare materials that are easy to understand and relevant to everyone, regardless of age, language, culture or education so that a more diverse population is able to participate in clinical research. Check out our blog post at https://hubs.la/Q02RHKkC0 to learn why health literacy is important and tips to bridge the gap. #HealthLiteracyMonth #healthliteracy #patientadvocacy

This month is #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth. To honor those affected by blood cancer and those actively working to find new ways to treat it, we’re helping by spreading awareness through storytelling. Hearing personal stories can offer solace and help parents, caregivers, siblings, and loved ones feel understood and less alone on their journey. Today is #BBSGlobalDay, and we are happy to share Gabe's Story, which was created to raise awareness for children living with this rare condition. #patientstories #healtheducation
As we join the #BardetBiedlSyndrome community in recognizing the upcoming #BBSGlobalDay on September 21, we wanted to share the children’s book Rhythm developed in collaboration with the Bardet-Biedl Syndrome Foundation. The book, titled, “Understanding Hunger & Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS): Gabe’s Story,” is designed to help children in the US living with BBS make sense of their feelings, provide education on why they are experiencing insatiable hunger, and recognize they are not alone. You can download a copy of “Gabe’s Story” here: https://lnkd.in/eUJWKTRz A hardcopy version is also available through Rhythm InTune, a patient support program for caregivers and people living with BBS.
