📢 Exciting News from Junior Achievement of Greater Washington! 🎉 We are delighted to welcome our new President and CEO, Monica Goldson, Ed. D. to the JA team. Dr. Goldson’s journey is rooted in our community, and she shares our unwavering commitment to a thriving Greater Washington region. A Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) graduate, she began her career as a mathematics teacher at Suitland High School and ultimately rose to lead PGCPS. She garnered national acclaim, notably from The College Board, for her success in significantly raising Advanced Placement exam pass rates across the County. Dr. Goldson's imprint has extended well beyond traditional academic accomplishments—she played a pivotal role in forging the early partnership between PGCPS and JA Finance Park®, where thousands of students have gained invaluable financial literacy skills through immersive, hands-on experiences. Following her tenure as CEO of PGCPS, Dr. Goldson assumed a national role as Superintendent in Residence with 3DE by Junior Achievement, where she led the reimagination of high school education across the United States. With her extensive experience and visionary approach, our JA team is excited to work alongside Dr. Goldson to expand our reach and deepen our impact with the students and communities we serve. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Goldson to the JA team! #DrGoldsonForJA #FutureFocusedLeadership #Education

We are proud and grateful to have been selected as the strategic charitable partner of the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR) for the next three years. We kicked off this exciting new partnership with a morning celebration by the GCAAR Coat Nook at JA Finance Park® in Montgomery County. “The ability to set financial goals and understanding how to manage money and credit are skills everyone needs. Junior Achievement’s Finance Park prepares students for success by teaching them these skills early in life. GCAAR is proud to partner with Junior Achievement so they can continue delivering this important program to Montgomery County students.” – Christopher Suranna, 2024 GCAAR President Big thanks to our GCAAR volunteers for demonstrating leadership to our region’s students – and special thanks to Katherine Gordon and Christine Pieri Barnhart, for their dedication in supporting our organization!

I love being able to create Fidelity Cares events for our associates to give back, as well as partnering with Junior Achievement USA's efforts. This month, Fidelity showed up at the Fairfax and Montgomery County locations for JA to help students learn more about financial education. Junior Achievement of Greater Washington thank you for providing these memories for our team and the students of the Greater Washington area! Thank you to my colleagues that were able to be a part of these special moments! #FidelityAssociate
