Today our General Manager, Mike White, was honored by Yuki Lei Sugimura (Vice-Chair of the Maui County Council and the Chair of the Budget, Finance, and Economic Development Committee), and Troy Hashimoto (Hawaiʻi State Representative). Recognizing Mikeʻs 37 years of dedication to Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel and preservation of the Hawaiian culture, he was presented with certificates to commemorate his work. As he enters retirement, we reflect on how Mike White has influenced the hospitality industry in Hawaiʻi. A special series highlighting his accomplishments and work through the years is being showcased on our social media channels. Stories shared by Mike, himself, talk about the Hawaiian Renaissance and the key players who defined Hawaiian Hospitality. #KBHMaui #HawaiianHospitality
About us
Officially recognized as “Hawaiʻi’s Most Hawaiian Hotel”, we are perfectly situated on world-famous Kāʻanapali Beach across 11 acres of stunning tropical gardens. Our Maui beachfront hotel embodies the Hawaiian meaning of hospitality, ho'okipa, and we share the aloha spirit with our guests while providing quality service. This spirit comes from the heart, shows in our faces, and is a part of our daily work life. Weaving together our Hawaiian heritage and our local lifestyle, we care for our guests in many thoughtful, personal ways which brings them back to us again and again. Showcased in our Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel logo is the kukui nut lei, which holds meaningful significance as it represents a guiding light or safe passage. As a KBH tradition, we adorn our guests with a kukui nut lei after their first visit. When the guests return, they are given a special white kukui nut to highlight the number of times they returned to our hotel, their second home. This tradition is also carried out with our employees and staff. For each year of service, they are given a white kukui nut to show their dedication to our 'ohana. We offer daily cultural classes, including hula, ʻukulele, Hawaiian language lessons, and beautiful and informative garden walks. Resort amenities include our whale-shaped swimming pool, open-air bar and family-friendly restaurants, water sports and beach activities, with world-class golfing, dining and boutique shopping all located within walking distance. Our accommodations provide a romantic and enchanting location for weddings, honeymoons and memorable couples’ getaways. Families and groups will also feel at home with our connecting rooms and laid-back lodgings and don’t forget, children up to 17 years old stay for FREE! Get immersed in the culture of Hawaiʻi and experience aloha at Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel!
