Greatly appreciate Swisher Contract Manufacturing hosting KC NTMA’s last shop tour of 2024! The State Fair Community College student panel and the Swisher Team did an excellent job engaging guests, fielding questions, and seeking opportunities to connect with local machinists and manufacturers. It was great to see future industry professionals networking with our experienced association members. The future is bright for these young adults, as well as for our local chapter. Thoroughly enjoyed my time with Swisher Manufacturing in Warrensburg, MO. The retention rate at this company is amazing. Katherine O'Toole with the Kansas City Chapter NTMA does a phenomenal job of putting on these events. The crew at Swisher was yet another company to fully commit to hosting a great event. I love the KC Manufacturing community. Great to hear from the leadership and students at State Fair Community College.

KC NTMA Members May Technology and Manufacturing and EMJ Metals hosted 34 LEAD Center CIMM students Tuesday morning. In support of both workforce development and the skilled trades, these companies recognize and value the need to invest in local youth to expand their knowledge about manufacturing careers. While the LEAD Center provides hands on instruction daily, most students have not had the opportunity to visit a large-scale manufacturing facility. Grateful for the support of our members! For those attending the Swisher Contract Manufacturing Shop Tour Wednesday morning (starting at 10 am!), we'll begin at 520 N. Enterprise Drive, Warrensburg, MO 64093. Great morning for coffee & donuts and student success stories! A team of KC NTMA representatives toured the LEAD Center with special focus on the CIMM classroom and lab. As we strive to fill the workforce pipeline, our association’s involvement with CTE programs is critical. Thank you to Abe Lewis and Steve Hatfield for welcoming members, seeking feedback, and providing instruction on both machining and life skills!
