I appreciated the opportunity to speak at the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Council breakfast earlier this week. I talked about legislation I proposed last year to limit the ability of foreign corporations to own Kansas land, particularly near U.S. military installations.

Randy Combs, the AG's statewide DARE coordinator, attended the Arkansas City PD's DARE camp in August. Organized by DARE and school resource officers Lucas Lyons and Adam Utt, the weeklong program offered educational activities and fun so kids could learn about healthy life choices and the dangers posed by illicit fentanyl.

Tiffanie Askew, the Office of Attorney General's Director of Victim Rights Coordination, presented information about trauma, victim rights, and a range of resources available for crime victims, including the Crime Victim Compensation program and the Safe at Home initiative.
