The OfDIA within the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology is the lynchpin for developing and maintaining the UK's #DIATF. As one of the approved DIATF certification bodies, our UK team works closely with OfDIA. Together we provide confidence to organisations that need to confirm a person's identity as to which digital identity services and technologies they (and their users) can safely rely on. Our process is robust and reflects a decade of #KantaraInitiative's experience specifically in #identityassurance #certification. The granting of a Trust Mark is an achievement clients are rightly proud of. When the UK Data Use and Access Bill comes into force, DIATF certified services will be issued with a recognizable Trust Mark. This will ensure businesses (and citizens) can easily understand which identity services meet all the requirements of the framework. Hundreds of thousands of people already use digital identity tools to prove things about themselves, for starting work, renting a home and more. The Data Bill will legislate on digital verification services, meaning companies who provide tools for verifying identities will be able to get certified against the government’s stringent trust framework of standards. They will receive a ‘trust mark’ as a result which will show their services are meeting high security and privacy standards, making it easier for people to know which services they can trust. As well as increasing trust in the market and saving people time, these efficiency gains will boost the UK economy by £4.3 billion over the next decade.

The U.S. government's GSA Technology Transformation Services has announced that Login.gov now offers a new Identity Assurance Level 2 (IAL2) #identityverification option to its partners. The identity service has been independently certified and is now conformant with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-63 guidelines. Speaking of the award, Executive Director at #KantaraInitiative, Kay Chopard, stated: ""We are pleased to add Login.gov to our Trust Status List of solutions that have been assessed and approved and congratulate them on their award. Kantara's #identityassurance program has been in operation for over 15 years and remains the industry's most rigorous and well-respected identity assurance program. Agencies and companies recognize the integrity of our processes and accept the high levels of due diligence that we require as part of the assurance process. We welcome the addition of Login.gov to our growing list of certified identity services - a strong indicator that our industry continues to mature in all sectors."
