Supporting Our Community in Times of Need:   In the wake of Hurricane Helene, many local communities have been left in urgent need of support.    At Mountain Khakis we believe in the power of coming together when it matters most. That's why we're partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMETROLINA) to donate clothing to those impacted by the storm. Our contribution of durable, high-quality apparel is aimed at helping individuals rebuild with essentials that will last, while Second Harvest ensures these donations reach the families who need them most. This is about more than just clothing—it's about offering hope and resilience to those facing hardship. Together, we can help our neighbors recover and move forward, one step at a time. If you're able, please consider donating or volunteering in your local community. Every small action makes a difference. #CommunitySupport #HurricaneRelief #MountainKhakis #SecondHarvest #TogetherWeRise #GivingBack

The rebuilding has begun. Communities across the affected region are working together to restore utilities and basic needs, and a sense of normalcy in their personal and professional lives. Connections and partnerships are providing hope and inspiration! Here’s how to help in Asheville and all across Helene’s path.

Where to start? My hometown and where I live, run, ride, SUP, work, volunteer, and adventure was recently decimated by TS Helene but instead of showing you more photos of the destruction, I'm sharing with you how we're rebuilding. On Saturday, at my home in Asheville (as pictured), many of my colleagues from Darby Communications and the leadership of Asheville-based Fuel Goods met to devise a plan to help other small businesses who need our help. (Note: most of us still have no power, water, and internet, but we're determined!) This is literally a story of Fuel Goods (2nd floor neighbors) helping their 1st floor flooded neighbors Rockgeist Bikepack USA rebuild after losing everything. In coordination with Pressio, they have launched the Together We Rise campaign to raise funds where 100% of proceeds from the tech shirt sales go to Rockgeist. Help our 828 Endurance brands return and stay in Asheville.

Hurricane Helene has left a path of unimaginable destruction. The scope of this disaster is beyond what many of us have ever experienced, and our hearts are with those of you who are suffering the impacts of this devastating event. This storm affected everyone from saltwater anglers along the Gulf to trout fishing communities in the southern Appalachia, but the waters and fish possess the incredible ability to recover and respond to events of this scale. Right now, our focus is on supporting the people and communities devastated by this storm, locating the missing and addressing immediate needs. In the wake of this event, we’re reminded of the strength and resilience of this region, which “has always shown a deep strength in the face of hardship.” We’re confident that our TU community will embrace and embody our community-focused mission and spirit during this time. For those looking to offer support, and for those of you in need of support, TU and the American Fly Fishing Trade Association have compiled a list of resources and organizations that can help: https://bit.ly/3TV8M4j 📸: NC DOT

At Karmik Outdoors, we understand the deep emotional and financial impact in the wake of natural disasters like Hurricane Helene. As a company built on the principles of connection, community, and conservation, we feel it is our responsibility to support those affected during this challenging time. The strength and resilience of our outdoor recreation community is truly inspiring. We've experienced firsthand how important our gear is, not just for adventure, but for the memories and experiences tied to each piece. Just as we once tested our own products by ‘losing’ gear around our local waters and were fortunate enough to get it back, we know that many of you may not have that same fortune right now. In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, we are committed to helping our community rebuild. We believe that by coming together, we can restore what has been lost and strengthen the bonds that unite us. Here's how you can help right now - https://lnkd.in/eeWj-4CM If you are in need of assistance, or if you have ideas on how we can further support our shared communities, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every adventurer is equipped to take on their next outdoor journey. Thank you for your continued passion for the outdoors and for supporting one another in these tough times.

    Founder/Owner at Karmik Outdoors ~Entrepreneur and Educator~

I love setting goals and review them. Goals are optimistic; reviewing is reality. There are SOOOO many parallels between hunting and entrepreneurship. I have a hunting and fishing bucket list that I like to preview/review. This year what on my list can I realistically accomplish? Not much. With my planning and preparation this year what should I expect.... Not much. I can't hunt moose or sheep. I didn't even put in for a hunt. I can't expect to land an enterprise client. I haven't taken the steps to meet them. In hunting and business, success depends on preparation, planning, timing, and doing the damn thing. Whether it's closing a big deal or launching a new project or drawing down on a trophy, having a clear vision and a strategic approach is key. But doing the hard work and getting yourself and your team ready for it is just as crucial. By setting well-defined business goals, we sharpen our focus, align our efforts, and increase our chances of success. Reverse engineering that and analyzing what is needed to get to success it also key. Remember, in both hunting and business, preparation and persistence are what lead to a successful outcome. Failure to do so should limit your expectations. Keep yourself in check. I cant expect to accomplish my hunting and business bucket list goals if I haven't laid the foundation. Looking at my lists, what CAN I accomplish? #BusinessStrategy #GoalSetting #Leadership #Hunting #Goals
