Be sure to stop by the KC Harvey booth and visit with Director of Mining Services David Steed, Regional Manager Phil Bandy Ogden, and Theresa Hughes. Should be another great program this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones at the conference. Always proud to be a sponsor. Idaho Mining Association

Congratulations to KC Harvey Senior Project Manager Matt Kindred, who graduated yesterday from the “2024 Leadership Sheridan County” program. The 10-month program, established by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, is designed to inspire citizens to assume leadership roles in the community. “We’re all very proud of Matt’s accomplishment,” said KC Harvey CEO Rio Franzman, a 2018 graduate of the program. “His commitment to the Sheridan County community sets a great example and should encourage everyone to get more involved in helping to determine our future.”

Very glad to hear that our friends and colleagues in Louisiana are doing well, and proud of their commitment to their communities. ELOS
While over 100,000 people in Louisiana remain without power, we are thankful that Hurricane Francine resulted in zero reported fatalities since her arrival Wednesday night. ELOS is currently working with a number of local parishes, assisting with damage assessments, debris monitoring, and industrial hygiene services as needed. We hope that everyone is well and gets back to normal as soon as possible.

We take on projects across the American West that work with both the land and a variety of industries to revitalize the environment and keep operations running smoothly. KC Harvey was hired as experts for the Arkansas River Mine Tailing Soil Remediation and Floodplain Revegetation project in Colorado. We provided an implementable, low-cost fix that immobilized floodplain metals, stabilized erosive streambanks, and allowed for recovery of the fishery and improvement in water quality. We are very proud to support Pacific Soda in the development of the Dry Creek Project in Southwest Wyoming. David Steed, KC Harvey’s Director of Mining, is providing first-party management of all federal, state, regional stakeholder, and local government coordination and permitting strategy for the Dry Creek Trona Project, a $4.5 billion green field solution mining project on track to be the largest natural soda ash mine in the world. Supported by KC Harvey’s principal Project Management team, David and his team are integrated into day-to-day project execution; agency, stakeholder and public/community engagement; design and permitting team coordination; risk management strategy; planning conformance reviews; mitigation planning; and transition planning from development/permitting to operational action. We believe that it’s these types of hands-on, first-party services that set us apart when it comes to project owners and project development and execution. We see ourselves as partners to our clients, allowing them to be more effective stewards of their resources.
