  • This afternoon we hosted our March Women's Network Luncheon with Jessica Norton of Kennebec Savings Bank, who gave an entertaining and informative presentation on "How to Avoid Fraud/Phishing Scams." With evolving technology comes news way to separate you from your money -- text smishing, business email compromise, fake websites and ads -- the list goes on. Protect your information and your money by adopting Jess's strategy: Wait, Validate, Go. Learn more about the "Wait, Validate, Go" strategy and different types of scams (not everyone is a Nigerian Prince) in the attached PowerPoint. https://lnkd.in/g5WV27bS Thank you to our Women's Network Luncheon Sponsors Kennebec Savings Bank and MaineGeneral Health!

  • Happy 7-year anniversary to Lindsay Corbett! 🎉 Lindsay started at the KV Chamber as Office Manager and has worked her way up to leading operations and events as Chief Operating Officer & Events. From being a QuickBooks champion to planning events that bring our business community together, she’s been instrumental in shaping the Chamber’s growth. Her dedication to our community is unmatched - from coordinating 700+ volunteers as Volunteer Director for IRONMAN 70.3 Maine, coaching youth sports in Sidney, and maintaining her title as Cynergy's Dodgeball Champion (a title she is ready to defend on April 25th). Looking ahead, Lindsay is excited to continue helping the Kennebec Valley grow. "We've made such incredible strides in bringing together businesses, residents, and community organizations, and I look forward to being part of the next phase of that growth!" Join us in celebrating Lindsay's hard work and dedication - thank you for all you do!
