This afternoon we hosted our first Women's Network Luncheon of the year guest starring Tamara Lilly of Burgess Technology Services! 🥗📔 The topic this month was "Escaping the Limitations of Fear." Tamara took us on a journey through her life and told us about many instances where she felt "stuck" or lost opportunities due to fear. She emphasized the tools and strategies she used to overcome her fears, become unstuck, and live a fulfilling life doing the things she's always wanted. It was a thought-provoking, vulnerable, funny and inspiring presentation that left us all better equipped for the scary and challenging situations we may face this year. Thank you so much, Tamara! 🎊 Thank you to our Women's Network Luncheon Sponsors Kennebec Savings Bank and MaineGeneral Health!

On Wednesday we hosted our final Women's Network Luncheon of the year with Dr. Molly MacKean, Head of Kents Hill School! Thank you to everyone who still attended during the icy conditions! 🌨 Dr. MacKean gave a fantastic presentation on navigating leadership as a woman. She has held many leadership positions throughout her career, many times being the first woman to hold the role, so her expertise was inquisitive, refreshing and entertaining. From now on we all will take every day "bird by bird!" 🐦 Thank you to our Women's Network Luncheon sponsors MaineGeneral Health and Kennebec Savings Bank!

Today we are celebrating Katie Doherty, IOM’s 9th year at the Kennebec Valley Chamber! 🤩🎉 Katie started at the Chamber in 2015 as Program Director and was promoted to President & CEO in 2017. Over the past 9 years, she has been dedicated to growing the Chamber’s business resources, programs, educational opportunities, and community driven initiatives. I think we can all agree, she’s done an amazing job! When talking to Katie about the past 9 years, she spoke about some of her favorite moments at the Chamber: revamping the Kenney Awards into the fantastic celebration it is today, and building better connections through providing more resources to members in our new building in Hallowell. The entire staff at the KV Chamber would like to say thank you and congratulations, and we are so excited to see what future years hold! 🎊
