Listen in as Meena Ariagno and Lance Werner, Kent District Library's Executive Director, to talk about how libraries are in the "people business." Lance's story starts at the beginning of his career, when he earned his Juris Doctor (JD) with the goal of a career in the FBI. While earning his JD, he also earned a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree, which led to becoming the executive Director of the Capital Area District Library before joining KDL. Some of the topics that Lance talks about include spreading gratitude and enlightenment to dispel a lot of fear that is rampant in the world, harnessing eSports to nurture learning, socialization, career development and addressing the "loneliness epidemic", creating social equity through large language models for artificial intelligence (AI), the "KDL Way" that treats everyone with kindness, empathy and love, and much more. https://lnkd.in/gKrnXvdQ
